夫婦で通っていたカウンセラーのところへ、ブリーが1人で行った時の会話です。

カウンセラー So, you and Rex are couple again?
ブリー Yes. You know, that's one of things I hated most about or separation. Not being able to throw dinner party. There's just something so civilized and elegant about them, don't you think?
カウンセラー I take it you've resolved your feelings about his infidelity?
ブリー Let's just say I've put them in an imaginary box and don't plan on looking at them for a while.
カウンセラー Do you think that's the healthiest way to achieve a reconciliation?
ブリー Well, it won't be easy at first. There'll be a lot of forced smiles and perfunctory love-making, but after a few decades whiz by, I'm sure I'll find a way to forgive him.
カウンセラー Well, as long as you have a plan.

ずいぶんと英語と字幕が違いますよね。
separation ＝ 別居、別離
他にも”分離、区別、離脱、分類”というた意味もあります。
civilized ＝ 礼儀正しい、品のある、上品な、教養のある
他にも”文明開化した、文明化した”という意味もあります。
例： eat a civilized meal ＝ 洗練された食事をする
have a civilized talk ＝ 礼儀正しく話す
infidelity ＝ 不倫、浮気、不貞
reconciliation ＝ 和解、仲直り
perfunctory ＝ おざなりの、熱意のない、通り一遍の、いいかげんな、気のない、形式的な

あと、ブリーの発言に面白い表現がありますね。
elephant in the room
これはどういう意味かというと、
誰もが認識しているが話したくない重要な問題（事実）のことです。
問題の事実は忘れて考えずに、時間の流れに任せるというブリー。
そういうことも人生にはありそうですが、なんだか切ないですね(/ω＼)
