Today, we spent most of the time talking about Malaysia and Singapore. One thing which caught the guests' interests was the food in both Malaysia and in Singapore. A guest asked about the local snacks or candies but truthfully speaking, I could not think of any type of candies which were known only to Malaysians. Instead, I introduced them to one of the more easily forgotten states of Malaysia, Sarawak. In Sarawak, you can find Kuih Lapis or layered cake in English. Kuih Lapis is very well known in Sarawak, even more so in Peninsula Malaysia. This delicacy has many layers to the common pastry we know as cake and with the layers come an astonishing amount of combinations of flavours. For example, Oreo and Cheese, Chocolate and Peppermint, fruits on top of more fruits! If you ever visit Malaysia and decide to head to Sarawak, make sure to get kuih lapis for friends and fam(short for family)!

A guest mentioned that he was going to pursue his career in a country in South East Asia. I wish him the best of luck in pursuing his goals and hopes he achieves them in the future. But really guys, I feel like I've done too much of the talking today so next time, we're gonna talk more about you!

Also, here are the words we have learnt today.
