それでは、正解と解説です！

She excused to him for being late.
(誤) excused to him → (正) excused himself
excuse oneself for ～
～の言い訳をする
※ 人が誤りなどで言い訳をする時に使います。
【正解】
She excused himself for being late
(彼は遅れたことの言い訳をした。)

A man rode a car.
(誤) rode → (正) drove / got into
ride(乗る) → またいで乗り物に乗るニュアンス
ex)
ride a bike / ride a horse
乗客として乗り物に乗る場合
ride in / on ～
ex)
ride in a taxi
タクシーに乗る
問題では、「車に乗る」または「乗る＝運転する」という意味にしたいので、
"drove / got into"の2つを正解とします。
【正解】
A man drove a car.
(その男性は車を運転した。)
または
A man got into a car.
(その男性は車に乗った)

(誤) phone for me → (正) phone me

【名詞】 電話
【動詞】(他動詞)～に電話する
今回は、「私に電話した」という文にしたいので、
【正解】
She phone me and said.
(彼女は私に電話し、そして言った。)

(誤) said → (正) told
tell the truth
真実を言う
これはよく使われる表現なのでこのまま覚えましょう！
また、
"say" "tell"の違いとして、
say → 言う(相手に伝えることは意識されていない。ただ言うだけのニュアンス)
tell → 伝える/言う(伝える相手が意識される。)
となります。
よく間違えてしまう表現なので気をつけましょう！
【正解】
He told the truth.
(彼は、真実を言った。)

He gave many power to local leaders.
(誤) many → (正) much / a lot of
たくさんの～、多くの～という意味の"much , many"の使い方の違いですね!
much → 【不可算名詞】数えられない名詞
many → 【可算名詞】数えられる名詞
今回の、power は不可算名詞となるので、much / a lot of を使います。
ちなみに、a lot of ～ は、可算名詞、不可算名詞名詞、どちらでも使うことが出来ます！
