国会

来月の臨時国会会期中に衆議院が解散されるという話をききました、果たしてどうなることでしょう。

臨時国会は"an extraordinary session of the Diet"です。

通常国会は"an ordinary session of the Diet"です。

dietというと、やせるための食事制限を思い浮かべる方も多いでしょうけれど、国会"Diet"という意味もあります。

衆議院を解散するは

"dissolve the house of representatives"

といいます。

参議院は

"the House of Councilors"

です。
