固有名詞

固有名詞も次に示すような場合には、普通名詞と同じに扱われる。

She is said to be a (second) Marilyn Monroe.

（彼女はマリリン=モンローの生まれ変わりと言われています）

There're two Johns in our class.

（ジョンという名前の生徒が2人いる）

The Nancy I know is a college student. [Nancy=a girl named Nancy]

（私の知っているナンシー[という女の子]は大学生です）

Shizuoka is sometimes called the California of Japan.

（静岡は日本のカリフォルニアと言われることがある）
