I went there with 6 other friends a few weeks ago. We all ordered different biryanis and everyone was happy with their order. The chicken tikka biryani came out on top though. It does feel like you've time travelled to one of the pioneering East End Bengali cafes from the 60s. The decor is terrible and you're sometimes hit by a foul open drain smell. You also have the "I no speak English. Little bit" waiters in sometimes grimy casual wear to complete the nostalgic feel. The waiters seemed to find it difficult to bring our side orders of chana and dhaal even after numerous reminders. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place to couples for a romantic meal. Nor to families with children. Do a takeaway as this place is more for old or middle aged Bengali men
