Slip slidin' away (Paul Simon)

初めて聴いたのは、1975年頃だから、高校1年生くらいの時。
特にすごい曲とも思わなかったけど、年を重ねるに連れ、しみてくる曲になりました。
諦めの極地のような詞でありながら、それでも自分の真っ当な道に何とか戻ろうとしている多くの一般人を温かく見つめている歌に聴こえるようになりました。それだけ自分もたくさんの経験をして、年を取ったということですね。

スタジオオリジナルバージョンも、気心の知れた老兵たち（本来はいるべきミュージシャンの内、何名かはすでにこの世を去っていますが）のゆったりしたライブバージョンも、それぞれの味わいがあります。

でも、"My aim is true."なんですね。

照準はぶれていない、ということか・・・

でも、自分自身もどんどん歳を取り、容姿も変わっていくことを棚にあげ、憧れていた人の変わり様に落胆する、
というのは、なかなか身勝手なものです。（が、共感できるので、いつまでも好きな歌なんです。）
