First I couldn't open my door, it was buried under the tons of snow.
(玄関のドアを開けることができなかったの、だって、１トンはあろうかという雪が積もってたんですもん。）
When I finally opened it that was the view from inside.

I have to go out because Elmo needs to go for a walk, so I took my snow showel and started digging a tunnel.
（こんな状況でも外出しなきゃいけないの、だってＥＬＭＯちゃんにはどうしても散歩が必要だから。だから、一生懸命雪かきしてトンネルを作ったわ。）

Our street is empty because my neighbors are still inside and didn't dig their tunnels yet.

Everyone buys food and stays home two days just watching tv or sleeping.
（みんな食料を買い込んで、テレビを見ているか寝ているわ。）
You can see only elmo running in the distance.
（ＥＬＭＯだけが遊びまわっているのが分かるかしら？）
Snow is blocking half of the windows already.
（雪は窓の半分まで覆い隠しちゃっているし・・・）
And winter is still not over...
（冬はまだ終わっていないし・・・）
