For those of us who live in Scotland, the New Year is around the corner.
When I was younger, I always have New Year resolutions:
I will study harder
I will read more books
I will not watch TV so much
I will do more exercise
I will not eat so much chocolate
Have reached my 50s, I realize most times those New Year resolutions are not needed. So for this New Year, I want health most of all, for everyone.
And I will borrow Candy's words at the end of CC Final Story:
"Oh, Miss Pony, it is true we cannot know what is waiting for us around the corner. However, if we go on our way with courage and without fear, we can expect immense joy, just the way I feel now."
So let's receive the New Year with courage and without fear and hope good tides are coming our way!
For everyone in Japan who already experienced the New Year celebrations, this traditional Scottish song about friends reuniting is for all of you.
Warm hugs from Edinburgh!
