みなさんこんにちは。
さあさあ、今回で第十章の最後になりましたよ！
残すはあと二章だ～～～～～！
あと二章では何が起こるのか、そして最後はどうなるのか、気になりますね！
って、皆さんもう知ってますか。。。私はもう忘れています。帰るのは分かってるけど、どうやって、とか最後は何が起こるのか、とか。だから最後まで絶対やり続けます。
そうそう、Through the Looking Glass もちょっと読み返してみたんですけど、やっぱりAlice's Adventure in Wonderland のほうがずっといいと思います。
さて前回は、モックタートルが「カメのスープ」という歌をうたい始めるところでした。（オリジナルの詞は前回の記事に載せています。）

tureen スープなどを入れる蓋つきの深皿
dainties 美味しい食べ物
そんなに難しい内容ではないので大まかに意味を。
濃厚で緑色をした美味しいスープ、
美味しいスープのために立ち止まらない人なんて誰がいる？

おーいしいーーいスゥープー・・・
とひたすら言って
`Beautiful Soup! Who cares for fish,

魚とか、game（肉、ってことでしょう。game 猟の獲物の食用の肉、という意味もあるそうです。）とか、他の料理が好きな人がいるだろうか？
全てと引き換えに ２ペニー分だけのおいしいスープをもらわない人がいるだろうか？

おっ！ いすぃ～ スゥープーーー！
`Chorus again!' cried the Gryphon, and the Mock Turtle had just begun to repeat it, when a cry of `The trial's beginning!' was heard in the distance.
コーラスもう一回だ！ とグリフォンが叫んで、モックタートルが繰り返し始めた時、
`The trial's beginning!' 裁判が始まるぞ！ という叫び声が遠くでしました。
`Come on!' cried the Gryphon, and, taking Alice by the hand, it hurried off, without waiting for the end of the song.
グリフォンがアリスの手を取って、急いでその場を立ちました。歌の最後を聞くのを待たずに。
`What trial is it?' Alice panted as she ran; but the Gryphon only answered `Come on!' and ran the faster, while more and more faintly came, carried on the breeze that followed them, the melancholy words:--
アリスは走りながら、なんの裁判なのか聞きますが、グリフォンはただ「カモン！」ともっと速く走るよう促すだけでした。
そうするうちに、風に乗って届くメランコリーなモックタートルの歌が、だんだん遠ざかっていきました。
`Soo--oop of the e--e--evening,
Beautiful, beautiful Soup!'
今晩のおーーーー、スゥプーーー
おいしい、おいしい～、スープ！
