Wouldの基本的な使い方は
説明しなくてもわかっている方が多いので
今回は触れませんが、
英会話クラスをしていて、
かなりの頻度で聞かれるWouldの使い方があるので
例文でご紹介します。
わかっているけどしっくりこない
なんとなく意味はわかるけど自分では使えない
そんなWouldの用法は
以前よくやったことを回想して話す
意見や推測, アドバイス
「（誰かが）～って言ってた」
「（過去の時点で）～と思っていた」
などもあります。
あまり難しく考えずに、
こんなことを言いたいときは＝こう言うのか。
位の気持ちで読んでください。

Every summer I would go to grandma's house and stay for a month.
(Talking about the memory you have.)
My sister and I would eat the best ice cream in town and I miss that.
I wonder if the ice cream store is still open.
(Your friend can't decide which bag to buy and asks your opinion.)
"Blue or green?"
I would say the green one. 緑かな～。
(But the quality is not so good although it is expensive. so you can say...)
I like the color but I wouldn't spend money on that.
You can pay less and get a better one.
(Talking about a new thrilling roller coaster recently became popular
and you are giving your opinion on that.)
Oh I wouldn't go on that ride. Besides, I don't like roller coasters.
(You are asking your friend that
when she is going back to Hawaii with her husband.)
My husband told me that we would go back to Hawaii next year.
(You are talking to someone about learning English
and you remember when you started studying English hard.)
I knew I would use English someday for work so I studied hard.
I brought extra snacks with me because I thought I would work late today.
It would take at least a few years to master English.
