My family and I had the wonderfu opportunity to share a meal with two lovely teachers from Malaysia!
They were not only both very skilled teachers, each specializing in math and science, but also very friendly♡
We enjoyed the conversation about both work and private!
We prepared some gifts that represent Kagoshima's famous items and dialects. My son made English explanation sheets about them. He remained a bit shy, though.
On the other hand, my daughter seems to enjoy engaging in English conversations.
それから、やっぱり、日本人が英語を話せないことは、公用語が英語の国の先生方からすると不思議だったらしく、その理由について質問を受けました。
ちょうど今仕上げている自分の修士論文で、初期学習者に対するリタラシー教育の不足や、流暢さの指導が不足していることを扱っていたので、そのことをお話しさせていただきました。
