■Keenan's Simple Chai French Toast Recipe

今回のレシピは、スパイスの効いたチャイフレンチトースト☆

Simple Chai French Toast
(serves 2-3)

Ingredients:
• 3g of cinnamon (grounded)
• 1g of nutmeg (grounded)
• 1g of ginger (grounded)
• 0.5g of black pepper (grounded)
• 2g of salt
• 20g of sugar
• Butter
• 4 eggs
• French bread
• 2 bananas

Instructions:

Part 1: Chai mix
Mix together: Cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, black pepper, and salt in a teacup. Add 100mL of boiling water to mix and let stand for 20min. After 20min, filter the chai mix (a fine strainer will do) into another cup. Discard the remaining chai that is left in the strainer. Now add sugar to the chai mix. Mix well until all the sugar has dissolved.

Part 2
Add eggs and chai mix together and beat together thoroughly. Soak slices of toast (approximately 3-4cm thick) in the eggs. Then melt the butter in a pan and cook the soaked slices in the pan with the butter. Cook until golden brown. Serve the Chai French toast with slices of banana scattered about the plate.

■シンプルチャイフレンチトーストレシピ:
(２～３人分)

材料
• シナモンパウダー　３g
• ナツメグパウダー　１g
• ジンジャーパウダー　１g
• 黒こしょうパウダー　0.5g
• 塩　　　　　　　　２g
• 砂糖　　　　　　　20g
• バター
• 卵　　　４つ
• フランスパン
• バナナ 2つ（お好みで他のフルーツでもOK)

作り方
パート

: チャイミックスをつくる
カップにシナモン、ナツメグ、ジンジャー、黒こしょうと塩を混ぜ合わせる。
100mlの熱湯を注ぎ、２０分ほどおいておく。
２０分後、目の細かい茶こしで別の容器へチャイミックスを漉す。
残ったパウダーは捨てて、漉した液体に砂糖を加える。
砂糖が完全にとけるまで、混ぜる。

パート

卵とパート１のチャイミックスを合わせ、かき混ぜる。
３－４cmの厚さに切ったフランスパンを、作った液体に浸す。
バターを火にかけたフライパンへ落として溶かし、卵液に浸したパンをそこへ入れる。
こんがりきつね色にになるまで焼く。
スライスしたバナナと一緒にお皿に盛りつける。

出来上がり！

お好みでメープルシロップをかけても美味しくいただけます☆
