インターネット上で利用できる英英辞典でgrammarの意味を調べてみると、以下のように説明されていました。Merriam Webster、Longman、Cambridge、Macmillanのように権威ある辞典で「rules」という単語が使われています。「グラマーとは何ですか？」や「grammarとはどういう意味ですか？」という質問に対して英語で答えるとき、rulesという単語を使って説明するのは大きな間違いでしょうか？

文法が「ルール＝規則」だというのは、とんでもない間違いだと思います。
すると、Cambridge、Longman、Macmillan、Merriam Websterは、とんでもない間違いを犯しているのでしょうか？いずれも世界的に有名な出版社だと思いますけど。
世間にこれほどたくさん「英文法の本」があるということ自体、英文法（外国語の文法）は勉強しても身につかない証拠です。そう思いませんか？
そうは思いません。世間には以下のような出版社がgraded readersを提供しています。Macmillan Readersだけでもタイトル数は150を超えており、Oxford Bookwormsのタイトルは900以上です。これほど沢山のgraded readersがあること自体、多読しても英語が身につかない証拠・・・にはなりません。graded readersを提供しているCambridge U. Pressは「English Grammar in Use」も出版していますし、OxfordはBookwormsシリーズだけでなく「Oxford English Grammar Course」も出版しています。

世間には「簿記」のテキストが沢山ありますが、沢山あること自体、簿記のテキストや参考書で勉強しても簿記が身につかない証拠・・・にはなりません。これで足りなければ、いくらでも例を挙げることができますが、その必要は無いですね。
