Long story short, I’ve tried to attach as many Taylor Swift's songs as possible to my posts on Instagram this year
Not randomly or always but properly...
I mean, I try to choose tracks that matches photos or sentences I've written in terms of its lyrics, title, melody, backgrounds, etc. so background music sounds better
On the contrary, I sometimes choose a photo so it goes well with her song I wanna attach and want people hear
I've always wanted to play my favorite songs of hers in background, but it's often difficult to choose photos that match the selected songs and don't destroy them
Sometimes the attached ones won't be able to be played on Instagram later for some reason Maybe that's due to copyright-related stuff, lyrics problems or something.
I've found some songs are with an 'E' next to their titles. I've just googled it and learned the mark means 'explicit' and makes listeners be aware of that
Looking back at my 2023 posts with her songs attached, "long story short", which is included on "evermore" album, has been chosen the most so far The song can still be played and heard as background music.
Three years have passed since the release of "evermore" album
It was dropped on Dec. 11, 2020 as a sister album of "folklore", and has been one of my favorites of hers, but its 12th track "long story short" is not the best for me on the album
I like the song, and don't skip it while listening to the album. But I don't play it on repeat, either.
The two albums released amid the COVID-19 pandemic have sad and gloomy melodies and lyrics. While some tracks are my favorites for their healing melodies that calm me down, their depressing lyrics don't make me feel cheerful.
Still, I've been learning a lot from her lyrics in general. Many of her lyrics and sentences are so intelligent, sophisticated and thoughtful Also, they almost always include some kinds of easter eggs
Just check the lyric video and then read through my Instagram posts below:

The song says "down the rabbit hole", a phrase comes from the famous novel "Alice In Wonderland" by an English author, Lewis carroll
There's another song being inspired by the story: "Wonderland" in "1989 Taylor's Version" and its original album

To my surprise, the illustration on the mug is like the scene on the lyric video; hot coffee with an opened book on a coffee mug That's why I selected the track for the post.
The mug has other angles like these It's one of my favorite mugs of Tully's Coffee
These photos were taken in 2019, but Tops chocolate cake was already mentioned in my blog post in the previous year

When the first of the two albums, "folklore", was surprisingly announced and released, "I found myself not only writing my own stories, but also writing about or from the perspective of people I’ve never met, people I’ve known, or those I wish I hadn’t", she wrote on her social media But both must also include tracks which are inspired by people she's met or known.
And the track seems to be written about two British actors, mainly Joe alwyn as "I'm all about you" and Tom Hiddleston as "it was the wrong guy". There seem to be other songs and albums that mention both in one track.
Taylor Swift appears to like British things as well as London boys and men
Now she's seeing an American man Travis Kelce
Lyrics of Taylor Swift: long story short
written by taylor swift & aaron dessner
"Fatefully I tried to pick my battles
'Til the battle picked me
Misery
Like the war of words
I shouted in my sleep
And you passed right by
I was in the alley
surrounded on all sides
The knife cuts both ways
If the shoe fits walk in it
Til your high heels break
And I fell from the pedestal
Right down the rabbit hole
Long story short
It was a bad time
Pushed from the precipice
Clung to the nearest lips
Long story short
it was the wrong guy
Now I'm all about you
I'm all about you
I'm all about you
Actually
I always felt I must look better in the rear view
Missing me
At the golden gates they once held the keys to
When I dropped my sword
I threw it in the bushes and knocked on your door
And we live in peace
But if someone comes at us
This time I'm ready
Cause I fell from the pedestal
Right down the rabbit hole
Long story short
It was a bad time
Pushed from the precipice
Clung to the nearest lips
Long story short, it was the wrong guy
Now I'm all about you
I'm all about you
I'm all about you
No more keeping score
Now I just keep you warm
No more tug of war now
I just know there's more
No more keeping score
Now I just keep you warm
And my waves meet you shore
ever and evermore
Past me
I wanna tell you not to get lost
in these petty things
Your nemeses will defeat themselves
Before you get the chance to swing
And he's passing by
Rare as the glimmer
of a comet in the sky
And he feels like home
If the shoe fits walk in it
Everywhere you go
And I fell from the pedestal
Right down the rabbit hole
Long story short
It was a bad time
Pushed from the precipice
Climbed right back up the cliff
Long story short I survived
Now I'm all about you
I'm all about you
I'm all about you
I'm all about you
I'm all about you
I'm all about you
Long story short
It was a bad time
Long story short
I survived"
