Mother's Day fell on May 12th this year. And I took my mother to Eggs 'n Things that day.

We really enjoyed a great view as well as delicious food and drinks they offer.

Getting darker.

We even saw Tokyo Tower, too. It was so beautiful.

Yummy.

Well, we shared not only pancakes but other food items such as "Hawaiian Fried Rice" and "Pupu Sampler." I'll write about what we had together then some other time. My mother and father took a honeymoon trip to Hawaii many many many years ago.やしの木

Oh, by the way, the pancakes we had are called "Birthday Pancakes." Though it was not my mom's birthday or mine either, the pancakes are perfect for special occations since they are served with various kinds of fruits.

They are not on their Grand and Dinner menus, so they're like a Secret Menu Item.

The secret item, which is 1800 yen tax excluded, offers us 1 button badge as I mentioned before. There're 3 kinds and we can choose which one we want. But some locations have only one or two of the three designs, so you should ask Ohana, staff members of Eggs 'n Things, which they have.

To my sadness, their special pancakes have changed a bit ... There was a beautiful green color, too.宝石緑 The pancakes once had Kiwi in addition to Strawberry, Blueberry, Banana, Pineapple and Mango.

You see what I mean when you check the old pictures of "Birthday Pancakes" I added a few years ago: "☆No Fun, No Gain★"

Also, I remember I shared "Birthday Pancakes" with two of my friends several years ago: "Diversity is Strength."

Oh my goodness. The current version doesn't have any real flowers on the pancakes, either. Eggs 'n Things has changed somehow, not for the better, I'd say.

Well, I introduced Singaporean eateries in the second blog post I've just mentioned. I didn't expect at all at that time that I'd work at a Singapore cuisine restaurant a few years later. I still hate my workplace, though. It's full of mean, narrow-minded and non-professional people while top chefs are mature and have a wide view. They and pastry chefs are professionals, needless to say. But servers are  not at all.

Anyway, I'd like to leave the place or the industry after I return the favor to those who've been protecting and supporting me so I can keep working. I wanna help people and companiese with the knowledge of laws. That's what I've always wanted to do. My current job is not my life purpose or calling. There's no future, at least for me.

I hope the owner remembers what I told him and what he told me the other day ...  Another boss I really like advised me to tell the owner, actually. I appreciate him. And I always thank the trustworthy guy I've mentioned sometimes ... He advised me to study labor-related laws, you know. I really appreciate him not only because of his sound advice and continued support but because he understands me very well. I think he's smart and kind though he doesn't look like that. I find some people misunderstand him, but I'd say these kinds of people misunderstand me as well. You know what I mean. And they never see or understand what we see or are thinking, I suppose.

I gave my mom Pastel's puddings, too. We shared these two, actually. I think it was my sis that told me Pastel when I was small and would often get their puddings for my family.

"Thanks mom!"
