Today is Cherry Blossom Day, or SAKURA Day, "桜の日," here in Japan.桜Did you know that?

So, this was the perfect day for having "SAKURA Strawberry Pancakes" that have been available in Eggs 'n Things restaurants all over Japan. 日本

I personally call it "Aloha pose,"but the hand sign is officially called "Shaka Sign."

It means "Hang Loose." Relex.

Though it was SAKURA DAY today, I had "ふわふわひつじさん パンケーキ," or "Fluffy Sheep Pancakes," in Eggs 'n Things Tokyo-Bay, which is located in Chiba Prefecture since I already tried their SAKURA Pancakes, you know.

おひつじ座 The Sheep is so cute, right? Too cute to eat, but I ate it up, haha. It's all gone.

Well, I went there after a long time to have the store-limited pancakes, actually.

Yep,  "Fluffy Sheep Pancakes" are only available in Eggs 'n Things Tokyo-Bay. On top of that, they're served for a limited time; from March 15th to 31th.羊

To tell you the truth,  "Fluffy Sheep Pancakes" were originally designed by a kindergarten student whose name is Haruka-chan.おひつじ座

Isn't it amazing? She's genius. She can beat the president as well as the owner of Eggs 'n Things Japan, haha, but I'm serious.

Now, Eggs 'n Things has 21 locations in Japan so far including their two locations of Eggs 'n Things Coffee, one of which is opening tomorrow, actually. Not all, but many of them are located in complex commercial buildings, especially Mitsui Fudosan-related ones, I suppose, as I touched on before in a past blog post. I forgot which one, though.

Eggs 'n Things Tokyo-Bay is in a facility whose name includes "Lalaport," and there are other Lalaport facilities across Japan.

The store manager, Masato-kun, who wanna open his own cafe someday in his hometown, told me another Lalaport once gathered ideas from kindergarten students of local kindies for an omelet and that another restaurant did make and sell an omelet based on a winner's idea.

This time, they gathered for pancakes, and Haruka-chan's dream came true.

I can't believe they're thought up by a kindergarten student. She's great.

おひつじ座 "Fluffy Sheep Pancakes" are not only cute but tasty. I love especially their strawberry sauce. It tastes awesome by itself, but especially plain and simple bananas go well with it.

One thing I have to mention about the pancakes...

When Ohana brought the dish, she told me sheep's cotton candy melts very fast, so I took pictures as soon as possible thanks to her advice.

The sheep's face became like this so soon. Why does spun sugar melt so quickly?

I do know I'm demanding and I should go easy on, but I was a bit sad that I couldn't enjoy the sheep longer. I'm childish and immature, I think, like the owner, haha.

Anyway, I wonder what kind of job Haruka-chan will be interested in or have when she grows up. She's so talented. Ohana also told me that she came by the restaurant twice after her pancakes were released. I guess her mother took her there. We're so happy. Haruka-chan, thank you so much for your superb pancakes. I'm sure those who ordered Sheep-san pancakes really enjoyed them.ナイフとフォーク

Try out both of them at Eggs 'n Things Tokyo-Bay while they're available. "Fluffy Sheep Pancakes" will be served till the end of this month, so hurry up before they end. I insist.おひつじ座

Well, by the way, almost all of the locations of Eggs 'n Things in Japan once offered each own original menu or store-limited items, but many stopped doing later. I'd say that's because ... Well, I'll write about my point of view sometime.

Speaking of Cherry Blossoms, SAKURA, I find Eggs 'n Things Singapore has been offering SAKURA items during this season such as SAKURA-mochi, SAKURA-themed drink and pancakes, according to their official Instagram. They name their SAKURA-inspired menu "Sakura  Taste our flavours of Spring."桜餅 Every item looks great.

You know what? Their SAKURA drink reminds me of SAKURA smoothie and squash Eggs 'n Things Japan offered a few years ago. I really liked the smoothie one, and had it several times during spring that year. I insist again that they restart seasonal beverages. I do.

This is the one.桜It brings back memories.

Though I heard at the time that the squash was more popular than the smoothie, I liked the latter much better than the former. I rememer I also heard that especially female customers enjoyed taking pictures of the first one because it was cuter, but I still loved the second one, not only its flavor but its elegant appearance.ラブラブ I prefer light pink like the smoothie to pop one like the squash, you know. Well, I wanna try it again if there's a chance. 桜

Happy SAKURA Day.桜

I enjoyed my favorite SAKURA Tart produced by a la campagne. I used my favorite SAKURA mug for having a cup of coffee.コーヒー I got it at Afternoon Tea before, you know.

The Tart's so beautiful and delicious. I love it. I wanna share it with my honey.ラブラブ Hope he likes it.
