Hi there.パー

So, today, I'll introduce 8 locations' original menus. As I mentioned in the previous blog post, Eggs 'n Things has 18 locations so far, and half of them (9 locations) are locatied in Kanto region. I haven't had Shonan's "Citrus Pancakes" yet, but I've tried exclusive pancakes at all the other locations in Kanto region, so I wanna write about them.

All the locations except Kyoto Shijo and Umeda Chayamachi locations started to offer each original menu in April this year. Kyoto started its exclusive pancakes in February this year, two months eariler before the other 16 locations started to offer. And, Eggs 'n Things Umeda-Chayamachi is different from any other location, though I've never been to the location. The other 17 locations have 2 exclusive items on each original menu, but only Umeda-Chayamachi has more than two exclusive items including three original pancakes. Sounds nice.グッド!

Oh, remember that these original menus can be replaced sometimes... A location which is offering its own anniversary pancakes doesn't serve its usual exclusive pancakes while it offers anniversary pancakes.クラッカーAlso each location can change 2 items on its own original menu. As far as I know, Kyoto Shijo, EXPOCITY (Osaka), and Fukuoka Tenjin locations have changed their exclusive pancakes, and Tachikawa has changed its exclusive dish. For example, as I wrote in May, Kyoto started "Kaoru, Uji Matcha Pancakes" in Feb. this year as their original pancakes, and they started to offer "Ryomi Hirogaru, Uji Matcha Ice Cream Pancakes" in June, so they don't offer their first original pancakes (I mean "Kaoru, Uji Matcha Pancakes") anymore.

Well, customers can ask the staff members, Ohana, to garnish your pancakes for free. I guess many of you don't know that. You can see the photos of the pancakes with English characters I've had so far (below).

バースデーケーキ The pancakes with "HAPPY BIRTH (DAY)", my friend's name & my name on it are Eggs 'n Things' "Birthday Pancakes", though they don't seem to be either on the regular menu or on the dinner menu...so, a secret menu or something? This is the first time I've posted a photo of "Birthday Pancakes" on my blog, and I want to write about them sometime. The other photos are the ones I've already posted before, so you've seen them before if you've read other blog posts of my blog.

It seems that the staff members (Ohana) who are in charge of cooking write these characters with a chocolate decorate pen! Ohana use some colors... These decorations are so beautiful, right? They all look delicious, too. Oh, any word will be fine as long as all the characters can be put on the round edge of the plate. Of cource Japanese characters are okay, too.OK

And, these pancakes are ones without English characters. Oh, this time, I posted many new photos.

Well, this year, I try to ask Ohana to write English charcters with stars when I have exclusive pancakes at Eggs 'n Things, but I sometimes forget to do that. I actually forgot to ask them when I ate exclusive pancakes at Odaiba and Ginza locatons in April this year. So, these two are without English characters.

All original menus are amazing. Enjoy!!

First of all, Odaiba's "Night View Pancakes". I had Odaiba's exclusive pancakes first, after 16 locations started to offer their own original menu in April this year. You know, I love stars and these kinds of things, I thought I wanted to have pancakes full of stars more than anything.星 Odaiba's beautiful night view is popular, and these Odaiba's exclusive pancakes are designed with the image of it. 星空

Though I had Odaiba's "Night View Pancakes" for lunch that day, I found Eggs 'n Things Odaiba has a great view. I think customers can enjoy the beautiful night view while eating  "Night View Pancakes". I recommend you order them for dinner or share them with someone special.

I'll add a photo of each location's original menu like this (the right one), but I don't think you can see what's on the menu because photo is not so large. In that case, please click a photo for a larger size. Oh, the seasonal drinks in the photo above are not available anymore. As I said earlier, I went to Eggs Odaiba to have their "Night View Pancakes" in April, and these were the seasonal drinks Eggs 'n Things was offering at that time.

As you can see in the photos, I usually have Hot Kona Coffee when I have pancakes at Eggs 'n Things restaurants, because Kona Coffee goes perfectly well with any kind of pancake Eggs 'n Things  offers. On top of that, we can get free refills on Hot Kona Coffee until 11 a.m. every day.コーヒー That's great, right? 流れ星

The next exclusive pancakes are...

Ginza's "Kaoru, Milk Tea Pancakes". Kaoru is Japanese and it is "香る". The name of "Kaoru, Milk Tea Pancakes " means that these pancakes smell good and we can enjoy the smell of milk tea, I guess.コーヒー

I think Eggs 'n Things Nogoya PARCO is still serving "Royal Milk Tea Pancakes" as their exclusive pancakes on the original menu. Oh, "Royal Milk Tea" is so called Japanglish. I mean, it's one of the English words coined in Japan like "Hamburg Steak","Rare Cheese Cake" and so on. So funny.ニヤリOh, of course Ginza's "Kaoru, Milk Tea Pancakes" and Nagoya's "Royal Milk Tea Pancakes" are different pancakes, though I haven't tried the second one yet. They have different kinds of fruits in the first place.

These are Harajuku's "Hawaiian Rainbow Pancakes". It's said that Hawaiian rainbow consists of 6 colors, so that's why "Hawaiian Rainbow Pancakes" have 6 small pancakes. 虹 And, one of the Hawaii's nicknames is "the Rainbow State".虹

The other exclusive item on the Harajuku original menu is "Hawaiian Loco Moco", and I guess this loco moco is bigger than the usual loco moco, which is on the regular menu of Eggs 'n Things.

I came to Eggs 'n Things Yokohama Yamashita Park to have their "Red Velvet Pancakes", after having "Hawaiian Rainbow Pancakes" at Eggs Harajuku. I mean, I had two locations' exclusive pancakes on the same day.

These are great! "Aloha E Komo Mai" means..."Welcome", "Come in", or something like that. 虹 And the other exclusive item of Yokohama is "Yokohama Burger". Well,"Yokohama Burger" has black buns, which stand for "Kurofune", the black ships. As I mentioned last month, 黒船来航 (Kurofune Raikou) is one of the historic events happened in Japan. If you like Japanese history, I think you should try "Yokohama Burger " at Eggs Yokohama. Well, I'd like to have it the next time I visit Yokohama.ハンバーガー

I had "Salty Lychee Squash" with pancakes that day, but I thought I should have ordered hot or iced Kona Coffee... Especially "Hot Kona Coffee" goes very well with sweet pancakes, you know. On the other hand, I personally feel "Salty Lychee Squash" doesn't pair with sweet pancakes. Well, "Salty Lychee Squash" itself tastes really good. I had it last year when I had dinner at Eggs 'n Things Ginza because it was one of the seasonal drinks at that time, and I thought " It's good! I like it!". So that's why I ordered "Salty Lychee Squash" instead of hot or iced "Kona Cofee".

Since I came to Yokohama after I had Harajuku's exclusive pancakes, I arrived at Eggs Yokohama maybe around noon, at least after 11 a.m. You know, we can get refills on Hot Kona Coffee until 11 a.m. Besides, Yokohama and some other locations didn't start free refills on Hot Kona Coffee yet at that time, while we could get refills at the other locations. I guess these locations including Yokohama started to offer refills on Hot Kona Coffee on May 8th, and I'm so happy about that. Now we can get free refills on Hot Kona Coffee at all the locations of Eggs 'n Things in Japan, and I really appreciate that. Thank you so much.音譜 I drink coffee a lot every day and I really like Kona Coffee.コーヒー

Oh, we can still order "Salty Lychee Squash" because it's one of the the seasonal drinks Eggs 'n Things is serving right now. I think it's tasty, and its sky blue color is very beautiful. It reminds me of the ocean I saw in Okinawa.

Saitama Shintoshin's "Oahu Pancakes". They are topped with vanilla ice cream and sliced apples.りんご

I read before that "Oahu" (one of the large Hawaiian islands) is known as "the Gathering Place". And a Hawaiian word "Oahu" itself means a place where people gather, right? (maybe...) I heard that Saitama's "Oahu Pancakes" had been named after this meaning of "Oahu". One of the staff members (Ohana) who is working at Eggs Saitama told me that Saitama's head chef had named their exclusive pancakes "Oahu", because they want many people to come to the place to have their "Oahu pancakes".

...Oh my goodness.ガーン It seems that each blog post has a character limit, and I can't write sentences or post photos in this blog post anymore. So, I'll write "We can't make pancakes without breaking eggsⅡ" after I post this blog post. See you later.
