I decided to update my blog only once a week, but I've changed my mind. I'll write a blog post at least once a week, and I sometimes update twice a week, because I have many things to write about...awesome pancakes of Eggs 'n Things, their seasonal menu starting next month, Tully's Coffee 20 th anniversary beverages and items, etc... On top of that, there are many songs that I want you to know.

This blog post is especially for music lovers音譜

Che'Nelle covers シャナナ☆ in Englsih.

Its original song is a Japanese-language one sung by MINMI, a Japanese artist. On the other hand, MINMI herself has a English version of the song. The title is "Shanana ~J apanese Wine~" and the lyric is totally different from other two while meldy is the same.

I like some of MINMI's songs, such as "Summer Time", "the Perfect Vision," and this "Shanana"星

In Japan, I think Che'Nelle is famous for her ballad songs, including Japanese songs covered by her.

She covers so many Japanese songs in Englsih, and she released two cover albums. Also she has many original Japanese songs  (yes, she sings in Japanese) and many of her songs have been used in TV drams or a movie in Japan.

To be honest, I actually like her R & B or reggae songs such as her debut song "I fell in love with the DJ" (music video below,)  "Feel good"(above) and "First love"(I couldn't find its official mv.)

Today's title "Things happen for a reason" is the name of her first album.  "Everything happens for a reason" is also my favorite word, and the meaning is the same.

I used to buy many what is called Mix CDs....how should I explain it? It's like a combination CD which has many songs by various artists, but all the songs are mixed by DJ or someone who is in charge of producing these kinds of CDs. Each song is shorter than the original version, but the CD has many songs instead. And maybe most of them are only available in Japan. I used to listen to these CDs in my early 20s, and some of them included Che'Nelle's "I Fell In Love With the DJ" or  "First Love"CDヘッドフォン

Oh, I read on the Internet before that Che'nelle and her manager had appeared on the TV show "Why did you come to Japan?" I've not watched that episode, but I like this TV program and watch it once in a while. Also "Welcome to Japan" is great and both are the programs of TV TOKYO. I don't watch TV very often, though....except OTOKISO, "Otonano Kiso Eigo (it means basic English for adults)"and "News De Eikaiwa (learning English through the news )"on NHK E televison.

I think there is a Tully's Coffee Shop inside the TV tokyo building, and I want to visit that Tully's location someday.コーヒーホットケーキ (Tully's Coffee serves hot cakes like this, haha.)

So, I'll mention two commercial songs. Her "First love"was playing in the PEACH JOHN commercial many years ago. PEACH JOHN is a Japanese retailer of lingerie. ビキニ

This Fegie's "Clumsy" was a commercial song for PEACH JOHN, too.

Fergie is a member of BEP, the Black Eyed Peas. I have her first solo album "The Dutchess" and some of BEP's albums, too.

Upper : CD +DVD  (Deluxe version).

Lower: CD only.

It includes "Clumsy"song, "Fergalicious", "London Bridge", "Glamorous" "Big Girl Don't Cry" etc. Both versions include these songs, but only Deluxe version has "Party People" and "Labels or Love" and its DVD has music videos of these five songs.

If you like ballad songs better than upbeat songs , I highly recommend you listen to Westlife. Some of my friends who love ballads reaaly like Westlife (I'm not joking)!

This is a famous song "the Rose" which is covered by Westlife, one of my favorite bands.

Westlife covered many great songs like "Manday", "Home", "Nothing gonna change my love for you", "To be with you", "More than words", "You raise me up", "Uptown girl", "Fly me to the moon", "I have a dream"and so on.

Also their own songs are beautiful and there are so many, I can't mention them all. For example, "World Of Our Own", "Hey Whatever"and  "Something right" are good, too. "World Of Our Own" has two versions, and I like the older one.  I listened to their "Unbreakable" album many times when I was a high school student, and that album includes the first version of this song.

I think Westlife was like Blue (a little bit) because they both are from Europe, and 4 men consit of the group. I guess both are more famous in the UK イギリス than in the U.S.アメリカ Westlife broke up many years ago, though... while Blue got back together.

"Never thought that I'd be so inspired. Never thought that I'd find the higher truth.
I believed that love was overrated 'till the moment I found you"

"It's because of you I feel so lifted. I've been looking from higher ground.
Never thought that I'd be so elated. You're the one who turned it all around"

"If you want me I must be doing something right."
