10th of July 2021 marks Ultraman's 55th anniversary.
To be honest, I have no idea about it until I saw a suggested post on instagram that says #ウルトラマンの日 (Ultraman no Hi // Ultraman Day).
As I have mentioned in my Kamen Rider post, I am no beginner in the toku fandom because my first series is Ultraman. Yes, I do remember watching it as a kid, I was around 4 or 5 years old back then. I just don't remember if I managed to finish the whole series because again, I'm just a kid. 😁
As I look in the depths of the internet for clues of the ultraman series that I have watched, I found out that it was ultraman dyna // ultraman tiga.
I was always amazed whenever it transforms and then grows and then that blinking light which turns him small again. 😂😂
Even though I don't have that much recollection of the events when I was a kid, I'm still really really thankful that ultraman became part of my childhood. It is the one that exposed me to toku fandom. I haven't watched anything at all for the past few years but they definitely have my gratitude!
Congratulations for the 55th anniversary! 🎉🎉
Cheers for more years, Ultraman!!
EDITED: NOVEMBER 28, 2021
Fast forward to late November 2021, I started watching Ultraman series again.
The curiosity started last month (October) when I randomly kept on seeing some actors twitter profile on my feed but it took me a month to remember to check them out again. Lol.
To cut the story short, I am now watching an Ultraman series for the first time in 20 years since I have watched my first series. It has been totally a while and now I'm enjoying every bit of it.
I've also met a new friend and I'm really glad someone's talking to me about my toku madness. (╥﹏╥) I really appreciate it.
Well right now, there's still more to watch so I am taking it slowly too. :)))
P.S.: I want Ultraman goodies but they don't freaking ship overseas. 😭😭
