一つの幕が下りた

五輪期間中フル稼働していたAWWの仕事。

全て終わりました。

 

五輪での初の公式練習後のインタから東日本大震災後１１年によせたメッセージまで・・。

We have now formally concluded translations of the Beijing Winter Olympics content from the Axel with Wings team (unless we get ambushed by another media feature). We would like to thank our team and all of the video subbers and transcribers that have helped us during this period. Together, we completed 19 fully subbed videos totalling over 85min and 4 text interviews, over a 1.5mth period.

It was happy, painful and inspiring in equal measure, but it was thanks to the tireless dedication and love of every single person involved that we could do our best in bringing Yuzuru’s words to you. 

As always, we want to say that a single translation is never going to be a definitive source of truth but we are proud of the work we have done and thank everyone for their kind comments.

It truly means a lot to us to read your reactions and see the effect of Yuzu’s words and philosophy on fans all around the world. You are why we do this.

For now, the AWW team will take a short break until Yuzu’s next appearance. Please take care everyone. We hope to see you soon!

いつも言うように、1つの翻訳が”正しい”ものになるということはありません。
その上で、私たちは自分たちの仕事に誇りを持ち、皆さんからの温かいコメントに感謝しています。

頂いた反応を読んで、羽生選手の言葉や哲学が世界中のファンに影響を与えている様子を見られること、それは、私たちにとって本当に大きな意味があります。
