what do you do to use records for longer time?
(please note that this is not about technical matters.)
レコードを長く使うためにはどうするか？
（技術的な話ではありませんのであしからず）
there're exception but most of the records have both sides. i tend to play particular tracks of the records such as "track 1 of this side." but if you play the track for many times or for certain period of time, you'll gradually get tired of playing that track. and because you buy records regularly, the ones you bought before become "worn-out." then they will be archives in your record shelves.
when i got tired of the records (in this case, particular tracks), i always check the flip side. there, you may find hidden quality tracks! i think this happens because your knowledge about each record is directly connected to specific tracks on your records due to the fact that you have so many records. anyway, when you find the hidden tracks, those records will come into life again. (of course, this does not apply to those classic tracks.)
例外はありますが、ほとんどのレコードは両面です。自分の場合、「this sideの1曲目」といったようにレコードの特定の曲をプレイする傾向があります。ですが、その曲を何回もプレイしたり長い間プレイしたりしていると、その曲に段々飽きてきます。で、定期的にレコードを購入していることもあり、そういった以前に購入したレコードは「古く」なってしまいます。そしてレコード棚へと納められてしまうんです。
レコードに飽きてしまった時（この場合は特定の曲ですが）、常に裏面をチェックするようにしています。そうすると、隠れた名曲を見つける場合があるんです！ 沢山のレコードを所有していることから個々のレコードに対する知識はそのレコードの特定の曲に直接結び付けられているため、こうした状況が起きるのだと思います。と言うわけで、隠れていた曲を見つけた時、そのレコードは息を吹き返すことになります。（勿論、クラシックスなどには当てはまらない話です。）

when kenlou released the record as their first release from maw records in the mid 90's, many dj's around me played "moonshine," and that track got clouds' attention. and of course, i was no exception to that. then some time later, i played the flip side "hillbilly song," and people came up to me and asked me "what's that track?" yes, since all of us are so into particular track, we didn't realize the hidden quality track just flip side away.

90年代中頃にkenlouがmaw recordsからファースト・リリースとしてレコードをリリースした際、僕の周りの多くのdjが「moonshine」をプレイし、この曲が多くの人々の注目を浴びることに。そして勿論、自分も例外なくその曲をプレイしまくっていました。その後、暫くしてから裏面の「hillbilly song」をプレイしたわけです。そしたら、いろんな人が「それは何の曲だ？」と。そうです、特定の曲にあまりにもはまり過ぎていたため、誰もがほんの裏面にある名曲に気付かなかったんですよ。

this is nothing new, and i think many of you people are already doing this. but for those who haven't done before, please check your old records in the shelvs and play the flip side!
これは何も新しいことではないですし、多くの方々も既にやっていることと思います。ですが、まだの方はレコード棚の中の古いレコードをチェックし、裏面をプレイしてみてください！
p.s.
this also happens when your musical taste changes over the course of time. that is, those tracks you did not pay attention when you bought records would become the ones you like later.
追伸
こうしたことは時の経過を経た音楽的な趣向の変化によっても起こります。つまり、レコードを購入した当時は気にも留めなかった曲が、その後にお気に入りの曲になったりとか。
