i went to fantasize @ loop last night. i met kai-san and megumilk-san at shibuya station and headed to loop. since loop is such a small space, it's kind of difficult to talk to each other under packed condition, so we had chat for a while in front of loop.
then a little after 3am, we got into loop. floor was kind of small but the sound blew me off: it's really loud, especially at the back of the floor where many speakers piled up to create massive sound. being in the center or right in front of dj booth was good.
miles started off with some heavy bass line stuff and then moved onto some mellow melodies with banging kicks. latter half of his set was more like old school stuff. very much versatile! i wonder how he managed to put such a variety of music in one bag.
昨晩はファンタサイズ＠ループに行って来ました。まずは渋谷駅前でカイさん ＆メグミルク さんと落ち合い、それからループへ。ループは狭いため、人がいっぱいいっぱいの時には話すことが困難だと言うので、暫くの間ループの前の路上で談話タイム。
それから3時ちょい過ぎくらいにループに入る。フロアは狭かったんですが、サウンドに吹っ飛ばされそうな感じでした。特にフロアの後ろの方だとマッシブ・サウンドを生み出すスピーカーが山積みされているため、音量がむちゃくちゃデカい。フロアの真ん中、ないしはdjブースの前辺りがちょうど良かった。
マイルスはブリブリのベース・ラインのトラックから始め、その後はメロウな上物ながらもヘビーなキック系トラックへと移行。プレイの後半は、どちらかと言えばオールド・スクール系。凄く多才! それにしても、あれだけ色んな音楽をよくレコード・バッグ１つにまとめることができたと感心。
