since my wife had a day off and wanted to go see "gregory colbert ashes and snow
," which will be closed on june 24, we went to see that today.
うちの奥さんがお休みで、6月24日で終わってしまう「グレゴリー・コルベールのアッシュズ・アンド・スノウ 」を見に行きたいということだったので、今日、行って来ました。
it's kinda weird to see the platform with only a few people at day time in
昼間の時間帯に駅のプラットフォームに数人しか人がいない状況って、何か変な感じ・・・です。どこでも人、人、人で溢れかえっていますからね。
when we got out of subway and went outside, blue and clear sky welcomed us. it was really nice to go out under such a clear sky!!
地下鉄を降りて地上に出ると、晴天がお出迎え。こんな良い天気に出掛けることができて、本当に良かったです!!

first, we went to see the museum. i was surprised by the fact that all the films and stills were actual, and no digital image processing or synthetic imaging techniques were used as i instantly thought about them. this is more of modern dance with animals rather than people and animal, which i instantly thought when i heard about this.
the amazing part to me was the guy's dance with elepants, dugongs, whales and array of small fishes underwater. from my experience of being a swimmer for 9 years, if someone moves around under the water, he/she exhale a bit but the dancer barely did that and that made the film so beautiful and surreal. my wife told me that the dancer's stomach was really tighten up and the lung was largely swollen. it was just amazing.
というわけで、まずはミュージアムを見に。全ての写真や映像は実際のものであり、デジタル画像処理や画像合成といった技術を使っていないことに驚かされました。というのも、見た瞬間に「あ～、処理してるのか」と思ったので。この話題を最初に耳にした時は人と動物の写真と思っていたんですが、もうあれですね、これはモダン・ダンスです。
で、素晴らしいと思ったのは男の人が水の中で象やジュゴン、クジラ、小魚の大群とダンスするところ。水泳を9年間経験した立場から言わせてもらうと、普通は人が水の中で動いたら、大体が息を漏らしてしまうわけです。でも、ダンサーの人はほとんど息を漏らさなかった。そして、それが美しくシュールな映像になっているわけです。うちの奥さんが言っていたのが、このダンサーの人のお腹がかなり凹んでおり、肺が凄く膨らんでいたこと。もう、とにかく素晴らしかった。
after that, we looked for a place to eat and got into a italian restaurant facing toward water. actually, this was the first time to eat sun dryed tomato over pizza. i always choose fresh tomato
その後、メシでも食べようと良さげなところを探し、水に面したイタリアンのお店に入る。実のところ、ピザに乗っている天日干しのトマトを食べるのはこれが初めて。いつもはフレッシュ・トマトなんで。

then we walked around the waterfront. it was really nice to go out with breezing with sunshne. people were sunbathing in beach.
それから、水辺を散策。晴天の中のそよ風、本当に外出にはもってこいの日でした。ビーチでは日光浴を楽しむ人も。

と言うわけで、登ってみました・・・。
