today, my friend, who is working at a local record store, came over to my house to buy records. there are about 520 records for sale but the number of records he picked up was about 100..... 450 out of 520 were 12" singles, and he told me that it's been so hard to sell those 12s, especially stuff like house, prog house or you could say those 4/4 beats stuff. many record stores do not accept such records unless they are really worthy. so what happens to those records is that if i really want to get rid of them, i could sell them for about 5 yen per record at recycle stores..... when i heard about this, i was like omg. i was expecting to sell them at cheap prices but never expected they could not be sold.
今日、地元のレコ屋さんで働いている友人が買取のために自宅に来ました。結局、売却用のレコードは520枚くらいだったんですが、彼がピックアップしたのは100枚ほど・・・。それで520枚のうち450枚程度が12インチのシングル盤だったのですが、特にハウスやプロッグ・ハウス、まぁ4つ打ち全般と言えなくもないですが、それらはなかなか売れないそうです。多くのレコ屋さんも今ではこうした12インチに関しては、買取を断っているみたい。それで、これらのレコードがどうなるかというと、本当に処分したいのであれば最終的にはリサイクル・ショップなどで1枚5円程度で売ることもできるそうです・・・。これを聞いた時には、さすがに愕然としましたね。安い値段でも売れるとは思っていたんですが、まさか売れないとは思ってもいませんでした。

later, the owner of the store, who is also my friend, came over to pick them up. we talked about those worthless records, and they decided to take them... for free!! well, i could do nothing about it as what i wrote above is the fact and wanted to get rid of them. i must say i'm happy about it.
その後、レコ屋さんのオーナー（こちらも友人）がレコードをピックしに家に来まして、価値の無いレコードについてあれこれ話した後、最終的に全部持って行くということに・・・無料で!! まぁ、上記のことが実情ですし、処分したかったというのがありましたので、これ以上はどうすることもできませんでした。これで良かったと思わなければなりませんね。
