on monday, august 28, i went to find souvenirs for my wife and for myself, that is records!! i first went to "in house records" which miles recommended. the store was supposed to open at 13:00. i waited in front of the store until 13:30; however, no one came to open the store. so, i took a muni bus to go to haight street.
8月28日の月曜日、奥さんへのお土産、そして自分へのお土産、レコードですが、を探しに行きました!! 最初、マイルスがレコメンドしてくれた「イン ハウス レコーズ 」へ。13：00オープンのはずが、13：30まで待っても誰もお店を開けに来ませんでした。というわけで、ミューニー・バスに乗ってヘイト・ストリートへ。

i got off the bus @ alamo square because we used to live right by the alamo square. everything was still same such as seven sisters, the view, etc.
それで、アラモ・スクエアでバスを降りました。というのも、その昔、アラモ・スクエアのすぐ脇に住んでいたから。セブン・シスターズや景観など、全てがそのままでした。

after alamo square, i walked to open mind music which was also close to where we lived. there, i bought some records and then headed for haight street.
アラモ・スクエアの後、そのまま歩いて、こちらも近所にあったオープン・マインド・ミュージックというレコ屋さんへ。そこで、数枚のレコードを購入。

on haight, i first tried to find souvenirs for my wife which are of course, earrings. i thought i could find them easily but there were not that many stores selling earring but luckily i could find some for her!!
ヘイトでは、まずは奥さんのお土産であるピアスを探して歩きました。ピアスを売っているお店はいっぱいあるだろうと思っていたんですが、これがあまりなかったんですよ。でも、幸運にも幾つか見つけることができました!!
shops along haight were basically the same as compare to years ago but there were some changes: there were many sneaker shops like the ones you could find in tokyo. sneaker culture is truly expanding to worldwide.
ヘイト沿いのお店は昔と比べても基本的に変わりはなかったんですが、それでも幾つか変化が：東京辺りで見かけるようなスニーカー・ショップが多数ありました。スニーカー文化というのは本当に世界に広がっているんですね。

after walking up and down on haight, i went to lower haight to visit "groove merchant records/ubiquity records ." too bad they were closed on mondays.....
ヘイト沿いを往復した後、「グルーヴ・マーチャント・レコーズ／ユビクウィティ・レコーズ 」に行くためにロウワー・ヘイトへ移動。ですが、残念なことにお店は月曜日が定休日・・・。

so, i went down some blocks on haight to go to "tweekin' records ." yes, they were open!! it took me a long time but i bought really good stuff, much good stuff i may not be able to get in japan. since i bought a lot of records, store staff gave me many promo cds which includes greenskeepers album (including bonus mix cd!) that is to be released on october 24 from om records . thanks a lot!!
というわけで、ヘイト沿いを数ブロック下がって「トゥイーキン・レコーズ 」へ。やったぁ!! こちらはオープン。結構な時間を要しましたが、日本では恐らく手に入らないようなナイスなレコードを沢山購入。沢山のレコードを購入したということもあり、お店のスタッフからこれまた沢山のプロモcdを頂きました（中には10月24日にomレコーズ からリリースされるグリーンスキーパーズ のアルバム（ミックスcdのボーナス入り!）も）。どうもありがとうございました!!

at last, i again went to "in house records." this time, they were open. i could get the one sold out at tweekin' so i was happy about that. there, i got some promo cds as well.
最後に再び「イン・ハウス・レコーズ」へ。今度は開いてました。トゥイーキンで売り切れだったレコードをゲットでき喜びもひとしお。こちらでも色々プロモcdを貰いました。
