oh, it was owesome, man. house, electro, tech stuff, acid, techno, etc., bumpin all the time. i arrived at the smartbar at around 1 o'clock and it was so crowded.
what surprised me was that he did not even change records on the turntables and played them all the time. and he was clicking again and again his power book placed next to the turntale in between times. i assumed something and asked him what he was using. he answered "finalscratch ." he was using finalscratch 2. since he is known for his tremendous collection of records (said to be having more than 50,000 records), i am not sure how much data he put into the computer but there's no need for him to worry about.
regarding the finalscratch, i have heard about the software freezes or other problems but as far as I heard at the smartbar, nothing bad happened while he played. i craved for having that a bit (my materialistic desire became strong). however, it is expensive. i wonder if he uses the finalscratch when he plays in japan.
the admission at the door was $15.00. very cheap (as compared to japan)!! admission has to be like this low.
いや～、凄かった～。ハウス、エレクトロ、テック物、アシッド、テクノ、その他色々と、バンピンバンピンな感じでした。スマート・バーには夜中の1時頃に着いたのですが、既に混みこみ状態でした。
驚いたのは、ブースでレコードを換えるでもなく、ひたすら同じレコードが2台のターンテーブルに載っててそれを回してるだけ。合間あいまにターンテーブル横に置いてあるパワーブックをクリッククリック。「さては・・・」と思って本人に何を使っているのか尋ねてみたところ、「ファイナルスクラッチ さ」とのお答え。彼はファイナルスクラッチ2を使ってました。超大な枚数（5万枚以上とも）を有していることで知られている彼のことですから、どれだけデータを取り込んでいるかは分かりませんが、これがあれば恐いもんなしでしょう。
以前、ファイナルスクラッチに関しては、フリーズするとか色々話を聞いたことがあるのですが、自分がスマート・バーで聴いた限りでは、彼がプレイしている間、何の問題も発生してませんでした。ちょっと欲しくなった（物欲強し）。でも高いんですよね～。日本でプレイするときも、ファイナルスクラッチを使用するんでしょうか。
入場料は当日ドアで15ドル。安い（日本に比べて）!! やっぱり、こうでなくちゃね～。
