ハリケーン「サンディ」の猛威
こんにちは。
先月末、ニューヨーク、ニュージャジー州など米国東部を襲ったハリケーン「サンディ」（Sandy)ですが、洪水、浸水、建物の崩壊、火事と想像以上の被害で驚きました。
アメリカでは、ハリケーンに女性の名前を使います。Sandyも女性名ですね。2005年南部を襲ったハリケーンは、Katrinaでした。日本では、台風○号と数字を使います。何故、女性の名前を使うのでしょうか。フィリピンも台風に名前をつけています。

God Bless all the people that was involved in this Hurricane Sandy. I'm a New Yorker and I never seen anything like this in 69 years .
I pray for all the victims of Sandy. May God bless them.

my god this is sad to see the pictures my heart is heavy and every time i see what storms can do just breaks my heart to the point i dont have words. i cant even began to relate to such loss at all MY PRAYERS GO OUT TO EVERYONE WHO IS AFFECTED BY THIS STORM AND I PRAY THAT IT DOSE NOT TAKE LONG FOR PEOPLE TO GET THE HELP THAY NEED. although election is coming this is the time to watch who helps these people get thier life back thats who should be in office MAY GOD BLESS EVERYONE.
