昨日行われたエリア47のスピーチコンテスト（英語および日本語）では、主催者として冒頭に開会の挨拶をしました。
まず英語の部（出場者は5人、観衆は約20名）
Good afternoon fellow toastmasters, welcome to Area 47 International Speech Contest.
I, as Area 47 Director, am very pleased to have such a wonderful speech contest today.
At first I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the two host clubs. One ,Tokyo-Mita TMC in English and two Tokyo Debate TMC in Japanese.
Now we have here five excellent contestants representing their clubs. I would congratulate them all on passing their club contests. But I need to blame them because thinking of their great speeches I was so exited that I could not sleep well last night.
So may I ask the speakers to share your touching stories with us and keep me awakened as well.
Lastly I would like to invite all the participants to enjoy the contest together.

まず、このコンテストの運営を快く引き受けてくださった東京ディベートトーストマスターズクラブの皆さんに厚くお礼を申し上げます。
また先ほど成功裡に終了しました英語コンテストを実施していただいた東京三田クラブの皆さん、お疲れ様でした。
さて、今日は４人の素晴らしいコンテスタントをお迎えしました。
春になりまして花粉が多く飛び交うようになり私も涙が出て困っています。
コンテスタントの皆さんの感動的なスピーチを聞かせていただき、本当の涙を流させてください。
来場者の皆さんも一緒に清々しい涙で楽しく思い出に残る土曜日の午後を過ごしましょう。
