According to the statistics by WHO, 80 years are average life expectancy at birth for Japanese gentlemen and 86 years for Japanese Ladies.
If this statistics apply to me, I have another 17 years to go until I depart for the other world called heaven or hell. But it normally varies with person. In my father’s case, he is 90 years old and is still fine, however both my mother and my wife died in their 50’s
As far as my wife is concerned, I never forget the day of seven years ago when she was hit by a bicycle while running on the cycling road in NZ. In spite of intensive medical treatments for 8 days at the best hospital there, she could not come back to this world any more. more. I had never expected my wife would pass away so early and so suddenly.

I learned from this accident that as we will definately die someday, sooner or later, we should always be ready for it.

From other point of view, I think it good for us not to be able to control our life by ourselves. Because limiting something makes everything interesting.
Just think why playing tennis is interesting, it is because players are not allowed to receive or throw the ball with hands, limited to play only with a racket.

Just think why marathon attracts runners, it is because runners are not allowed to take taxies on the marathon course, limited to run on foot.

Just think why life is so interesting, it is because we are not free from death, having limited time.
Death… Nobody can tell when it comes. It may visit us tomorrow, Monday or day after tomorrow, Tuesday, or Wednesday , Thursday, Friday, Saturday, today, anytime.
But don’t be too nervous, look at a calendar there is no ”someday” in the week.

All we have to do is to make the best of our life before “someday” comes to us.
