スリランカ南部ウバ州にあるヤーラ国立公園北緯6度22分22秒東経81度31分01秒 97,880km2の広さがありまさにジャングル☝️悪戦苦闘な道が存在し、TOYOTAの4×4が使用されている！1900年に野生保護区として設立され、公園内には様々な種類の動物いる事で知られており、セイロンゾウと水生の鳥類の保護で重要な役割をはたしている。
晴れている時は亜熱帯で道は赤土が舞い白いシューズは瞬く間に茶色に染まり、かおを手で擦ると微妙なざらつく砂が取れるほど！
Hotel pickup at 5am tomorrow! My Yala National Park guide contacted me on WhatsApp. "Ok, come along!" I replied. 🛜 The sound of a diesel engine echoed through the quiet, one-story hotel as the guide arrived at 4:50am. Yala National Park, located in Uva Province in southern Sri Lanka, is at 6°22'22"N 81°31'01"E. It spans 97,880 hectares and is a veritable jungle. ☝️ The roads are challenging, and we sped through them in Toyota's prized 4x4. Established in 1900 as a wildlife sanctuary, the park is known for its diverse range of animals and plays an important role in protecting Ceylon elephants and aquatic birds.
On sunny days, the subtropical climate creates a flurry of red soil on the roads, staining my white shoes brown in an instant. I could even rub my face with my hand and remove the slightly rough sand!
