さてさて、今回はラスベガスを更に楽しむ為のアルコール関連のまとめです！

Frozen Margarita (フローズン・マルガリータ)

Tips

The frozen margarita in a tall container is a must-do in Las Vegas! There are many Frozen Margarita shops in Las Vegas and each shop has many different flavors and many different shapes of container. You need to pay for the container but you can refill it even next time you visit (of course, refill fee applies). If you want to make it stronger, you can ask for adding shots of tequila in your margarita.

ラスベガスに来たら、背の高い容器に入ったフローズンマルガリータはマスト・トライです！ ラスベガスにはいたるところにフローズンマルガリータのお店があり、マルガリータのフレーバーや容器はお店によって様々。容器のお値段は少々高い気もしますが、次回のラスベガス旅行に容器を持って行ったとしても詰め替えてくれますよ！（もちろん詰め替え料金はかかりますが・・・。） もしアルコール強めがよければ、テキーラのショットを追加で入れてもらう事も可能ですよ！

Tips	Denny’s is a well known family restaurant chain in Japan. It’s actually originated in America and they serve American comfort food, like pancakes and omelets. So why visit Denny’s? The Denny’s in Las Vegas downtown has a full bar! How about the Grand Slam with a pint of a fresh mojito to start your day!? They also offer wedding service, which Las Vegas is famous for, at this Denny’s, too!		デニーズといえば、日本によくあるファミレスチェーン店ですよね。実はデニーズはアメリカ発祥のレストランで、アメリカのデニーズではパンケーキやオムレツ等、アメリカ～ンな料理を楽しめます。 そしてこのラスベガス・ダウンタウンにあるデニーズなんですが、他のデニーズとはちょっと違うんです！なんとカクテルバーがあるんですよ！デニーズの有名な朝食メニュー、グランド･スラムとフレッシュなモヒートでラスベガスの1日を始めるなんていかがでしょう？ 因みに、こちらのデニーズでは、ラスベガス名物の結婚式も挙げられちゃいますよ！

Cirque du Soleil (シルクドソレイユ)

There are some Cirque du Soleil shows in Las Vegas. At the food stand in the theater you can buy alcohol before the show. They even have some special Cirque du Soleil cocktails and margaritas with their special cup!

ラスベガスにはシルクドソレイユの常設ショーが何件もあります。 シルクドソレイユのシアターの売店ではアルコールも取り扱っています。シルクドソレイユのスペシャルカクテルやマルガリータなんてものも！飲み物を入れてくれるカップももちろんシルクドソレイユですよ！

Las Vegas Trip Pt.2: Banger Brewing

When we travel somewhere, we always visit local brewery to enjoy the area’s local flavor. Sometimes we even make specific breweries a part of our travel plans. When we decided to visit Las Vegas this time, we were excited to try some of Las Vegas’ local beers!

旅行する際は、その土地のローカルな味を楽しみたいので、ローカルのブリューリーに行くようにしています。気になるブリューリーがある街に行く時には、ブリューリー訪問が観光のメインになる事も。 という事で、今回ラスベガス旅行を決めた時も、ラスベガスローカルのビールを飲もうと楽しみにしていたんです！

However, when we arrived in Las Vegas, we were  surprised to find that many bars there didn’t have craft beers. We saw many tourist drinking mass produced beers while walking on the strip. So we thought that people in Las Vegas may not be interested in craft beers.

楽しみにしていたんですが、ラスベガスに着くと殆どのバーにクラフトビールがない！道行く観光客も大手企業のビールを飲んでいる！ラスベガスではクラフトビールはあまり人気がないのかもしれないと思った訳です。

We decided to enjoy the shows and atmosphere of Las Vegas instead, but we still couldn’t stop ourselves from visiting a local brewery. The brewery we chose was Banger Brewing.　It was highly rated among the breweries listed by google in Las Vegas and it is located on Fremont St. in downtown Las Vegas. We wanted to see the Fremont St. light show and try the Zip Line so the location was very convenient for us.

そこで、ショーやラスベガスの雰囲気をエンジョイするのに専念する事にしました。 とは言ってもやっぱりローカルのブリューリーに行かずにはいられない私たち。ラスベガス・ダウンタウンのフリモント・ストリートのライトショーやジップラインに行きたかったので、ダウンタウン周辺で、且つ、Googleで高評価という無難そうなローカルブリューリーを探し、バンギャー・ブリューイングに行く事にしました。

After we enjoyed the light show and Zip Line, we visited this Banger brewery. There were quite a lot of people in the tap room! We somehow were able to find our seat at the bar. When we looked around, everyone was smiling and enjoying their beer! Hmmm…? We thought that people in Las Vegas may not be interested in craft beers…? Could it be that good craft beer is available in Las Vegas? We sat down and checked their beer menu… Morning Joe…? Sounds very familiar… Morning Joe… Isn’t this the beer some beer bloggers were talking about? Isn’t this the brewery!?

ライトショーやジップラインを楽しんだ後、バンギャー・ブリューリーへ向かいました。 タップルームは結構混雑していて、なんとかカウンター席をゲット。周りを見渡してみると、皆さん楽しそうにビールを飲んでいらっしゃいます。 （あれ、おかしいぞ？ラスベガスってクラフトビールはあまり人気がないんじゃ・・・？やっぱりラスベガスにも美味しいクラフトビールが・・・！？） 席に着き、ビールメニューを見てみると、モーニング・ジョーというビールが目に留まりました。 （モーニング・ジョー・・・？何か聞いたことのある名前だな・・・？モーニングジョー・・・？あれ？これって他のビア・ブロガーたちが話してたビール？もしかしてこのブリューリーって！？）

We ordered a full flight to enjoy all the beers they had! They had a great selection of beers and all of them were really good! But Morning Joe was absolutely our favorite, especially on Nitro! Morning Joe is a coffee flavored Kolsh. We could smell the fresh coffee aroma in this beer, but not like coffee porter or stout, it’s very refreshing coffee beer you wanna drink from the morning! Regular Morning Joe itself is already great, but by adding Nitrogen, the bubbles became much smoother and the flavor of the beer becomes more enjoyable.

せっかくなので、全てのビールをフライトで注文しました。素晴らしいビールセレクションで、どれも美味しかったです！でも私たちのお気に入りはやっぱりモーニング・ジョー！特にナイトロが素晴らしかった！ モーニング・ジョーは、フレッシュなコーヒーの香りが印象的な、コーヒー味のケルシュです。コーヒー系のポーターやスタウトとは違い、とても爽やかなビールで、朝から飲みたくなってしまいます。 通常のモーニング・ジョー自体も素晴らしいビールなのですが、ナイトロの方は、窒素を使った事で泡が更にスムーズになり、ビールの味をより堪能できます。

Their beers are great. The people there are very nice. The brewery is at the middle of Las Vegas sightseeing area. (This brewery is also right next to the Heart Attack Grill restaurant, an American diner which serves extreme hamburgers with very high calorie count!) Their bathroom signs are also cool!

ビールは美味しいし、お店のスタッフも皆さん良い方ばかりで、更にラスベガスの観光地のど真ん中（因みに、ブリューリーのお隣は、超高カロリー・ハンバーガーで有名なアメリカンダイナー、ザ・ハート・アタック・グリルです！）、お手洗いのサインも素敵です！

We highly recommend this brewery when you visit Las Vegas downtown! They also have a brewery tour daily. Why don’t we walk around Las Vegas while drinking their beer from their growler with a straw!?

Las Vegas Trip Pt.1: Craft Beer Spots in Vegas

Recently, we had few opportunities to travel outside of California. In the last few posts, we talked about NYC. This time, we will focus on another great city… Las Vegas! Las Vegas is famous for casinos and amazing shows but also for public drinking! As we have mentioned few times previously, it’s illegal to drink in public in America, except in some specific places where it is permitted. So Las Vegas is a dream place for some Americans, since in Las Vegas we can look around the city and enjoy drinking at the same time!

ここ最近カリフォルニア州外に旅行する機会が何度がありました。前回まではしばらくニューヨークシティーについて書いていましたが、今回のテーマもこれまた有名な街、ラスベガスです！ ラスベガスというと、カジノや大規模なショーなどを思い浮かべる方も多いかと思いますが、実はもう1つ忘れてはいけないのが公共の場で飲酒可能なことです。以前にも何回かお伝えしたかとは思いますが、アメリカでは許可が下りている場所以外、公共の場での飲酒は違法なんです。その為、お酒を楽しみながら観光出来るラスベガスはアメリカ人にとって憧れの場所でもあるんですね。

As craft beer enthusiasts, we wanted to enjoy craft beer while walking around Las Vegas. However, many of the bars at casinos offer only commercialized beers and only a few bars we found had craft beer.

クラフトビール愛好家としては、ラスベガスを観光しつつクラフトビールもエンジョイしたい訳ですが、カジノには大手メーカーのビールのみ取り扱つかっているバーが多く、クラフトビールを置いているバーはあまりないんです。

So, this time, we listed the bars we found around the Las Vegas Strip with a craft beer selection! We hope this list helps you when you visit Las Vegas!

Tips	Budweiser is opening their beer garden. When we were there, it was under construction, but it seems that they are open now. Although it is a Budweiser bar, they have craft beer available.		バドワイザーのビアガーデンです。私たちが行った頃は工事中だったのですが、もうオープンしたようですね。 バドワイザーのバーですが、クラフトビールも取り扱っていますよ。

NY Trip Pt.3: NYC Bars We Recommend

ニューヨーク旅行記も第3弾目に突入！最終回となる今回は、第1・2弾で紹介したお店以外で、ニューヨークのお勧めバーを紹介します！

ニューヨークにはバーはごまんとある訳で、私たちが行けなかった素敵なバーも多数ありますが、3泊4日の旅行で廻ったバーは十数件。人気のあるバーやユニークなバーも結構チェック出来ました。ということで、リストアップしてるバーは自信を持ってお勧め出来ますよ！

Otto’s Shrunken Head (オットズ・シュランケン・ヘッド)

Tips	カクテルメインのパンクロック・バー。パンクロックのライブミュージックを聞きながら、クラシックなカクテルをはじめ、フローズンカクテルも楽しめます！ そしてこのバーのお勧めはなんといってもティキカクテル！アメリカでポピュラーなカクテルのマイタイや、お店オリジナルのカクテル等何種類もあるのですが、それぞれティキ風カップ、鯉カップ、招き猫カップ等、ユニークなカップでサーブされます。カクテルの料金にプラスで$5のカップ分のデポジットを払わなければいけないのですが、そのままカップを持って帰ってもいいですし、お店に返せば$5返金してくれます。因みにこのティキカクテル、アルコール度数は高めです！すごく美味しいのでグイグイ飲めてしまうのですが、気をつけてくださいね！ また、有料ですが、店内にはフォトブース (アメリカ風のプリクラ) も設置されています。旅の思い出に是非！

Tips	イーストビレッジ界隈でとても人気のあるスポーツバーです！ニューヨーク周辺のローカルビールが楽しめます。椅子の数は少なく、お店の名前Standingsのように基本的に立ち飲みです。 キッチンはなく、食事の持ち込みOKです。近くからニューヨークピザを注文するも良し、私たちの隣のお客さんたちは特大バーベキューを持ってきて楽しんでいましたよ！ こちらのバーのお隣は、Burp Castleというこれまたお勧めなビアバーです！

Tips	Standingsの隣にあるBurp Castle。 Burpとは英語でゲップのこと。つまり、「ゲップ城」というユニークな名前のバーなのですが、バー自体もすごくユニークなんです！こちらのバーのルールは「バー内では静かにすること」。注文するのも小声で。仲間同士でグラスを合わせて乾杯なんて以ての外！バーテンダーから小声で注意されてしまいますよ！ というのも、トラピストビールで有名なベルギー修道院がテーマのバーなんです。バーでは修道院のように静かにしなければいけません。でも、ビールを飲んでゲップしたくなったらどうするんだよというジョーク/皮肉がバーの名前に込められています。 そんなユニークなバーですが、楽しめるお酒は至って正統派。厳選されたベルギーやその他ヨーロッパのビールを楽しめます！

124 Old Rabbit Club

Tips	ニューヨークのビアバーを廻るのであれば、このラビットクラブは外せません！ こちらもヨーロッパからの輸入ビール専門のバーなのですが、限定醸造等とても貴重なビールも取り扱っています。ヨーロッパからの旅行者が、自国で入手出来なかったレアビールを求めて、ニューヨーク旅行中にラビットクラブを訪れるなんていう噂があるくらいです！ スピークイージー風の店内は暗く狭い為、大きな荷物があると少々大変です。

上記で紹介したお店は観光客向けではない為日本語は通じません。行く前に是非英語を軽く勉強していく事をお勧めします！
