We had a zoom meeting with the overseas branch office today.
After the meeting, we talked about the dispute on payment in another overseas office.
Our local representative has been working to resolve this issue for a long time. As a result, we are supposed to deposit cash to the court by the end of this month to move our local project forward.
However, the management team wanted to talk directly with the lawyer in charge of this issue for final confirmation before making the deposit.
To be honest, I didn't feel comfortable with that decision because this kind of approach reveals that the management did not trust the work done by the local representative. Also, I don't want to take the lead or chair the meeting overseas.
Anyway, I think I should prepare to lead the meeting in English.
Thanks for reading.
