真夜中に、鳴ってはいけない番号で電話が鳴った。
とても気分が悪い。
父の主治医は「検査のために新しい病院に行ってほしい。
来院してください。
なんでこんな夜中に？
状況の奇妙さは、私にすべてを理解させました。
真夜中に私の家族は彼の医者と話しました。
父の新しい主治医は、この病院の規則は、患者とその家族が互いに面会することを許可しないことだと教えてくれました。 ただし、例外を設けて、一度だけ許可します。
そしてその例外の次は・・・・・・。
私の父は92歳です。
93歳の誕生日は祝いません。
今日の深夜、半年ぶりに父に会いました。
久しぶりに少し話をしました。
私と私の家族は、彼と話す機会があと 1 回しかありません。
