今日は、３日前にリプロ東京で採卵した卵の培養結果を電話で確認しました。
通常は、10:00-12:00の２時間の枠で、患者が自分で培養室へ直通の電話番号にかけて、確認します。
今日は年始ということで10:00-11:00の１時間の枠しかありませんでした。
採卵時のざっくり計算では約11人の採卵患者がいたので、６０分を１１人で分け合うため、一人５分しかなく「混む=電話が繋がりにくい」と考え、10:00ぴったりに電話をかけました。
案の定、混雑していて繋がらず。
５分位かけ続けても繋がらず。きっと１人目の人が話しているのだろうと考え、少し待ってかけ直したところすぐに繋がりました。
培養士さんが出てくれ、IDと名前を伝えた後、培養結果を口頭で受けます。
電話をスピーカー設定にして、聞いた内容を忘れないよう夫婦でメモとりつつ聞く。
説明の仕方はルールがあるのか、
採卵数→成熟卵・未成熟卵・変性卵の数→受精数→グレード・分割数別の個数
という流れで説明を受ける。（分かりやすす、安心しながら聞けました）
今回は、初期胚と胚盤胞の両方を凍結希望していたので、どれを胚盤胞まで育てて、どれを初期胚として凍結するか聞かれる。
すぐには決められず、再度掛け直すことに。
話し合った結果、
・４分割以下のものは全て初期胚として凍結
・それ以外は、全て胚盤胞を目指して継続培養
ということに。
培養士さんに伝えたところ、そんなに違和感ないとのこと。
その他にも、色々教えていただきました。
・３日目で５分割までいかないと、胚盤胞までいくのは難しい
・３日目で６−８分割しているのが良好な分割スピード
・電話で伝えた確認結果は今朝の状態で、凍結する時には分割が進んでいる可能性もある（コレとコレを凍結、というよりも、凍結時に４分割以下のものっていう方が、培養士さんにとってはシンプルでわかりやすいとのこと）
年始なのに、培養結果を丁寧に説明してくれ、患者側の質問にも丁寧に回答してくれました。培養士さんもしっかり知識がある方で頼りになり、改めて転院してよかったと思いました。
※補足（凍結費用のことについて気になっていたので、聞いてみました）

１回目凍結費用50,000円
２回目凍結費用50,000円
３回目凍結費用30,000円
凍結胚１個あたりの費用かと思い確認したところ、個数は関係ないとのこと。初期胚凍結が１回目凍結、胚盤胞までいったのを凍結したら２回目凍結とのこと。

3 days have passed today since my first egg collection at Reproduction Clinic Tokyo. I confirmed the fertilization result on the phone.
Patients have to call directly to the culture chamber in the clinic between 10am and 12am by themselves to confirm the fertilization result.
Today was the January 1st, special day for Japanese people, and we were allowed to call between 10am and 11am.
On the day of my egg collection, there were about 11 patients in the recovery room. Considering only about 5 minutes are allocated to each patient, we made a call on time because it would be crowded .
I kept calling and was finally connected with the specialist at the chamber.
Telling my ID and name, he started explaining the result.
My husband I set the phone on the speaker and took memo not to miss what he said.
The explanation was very easy to understand and made us relieved.
It started from the # of eggs collected, mature eggs, immature eggs, degenerated eggs, and fertilized eggs. In the end he told us the # of eggs dividing grade and division numbers.
As we requested to freeze early embryo and blastocyst, he asked us how which eggs were to be freezed at this point.
We couldn’t decide which one on that moment and decided to call back later.
After the discussion, we decided to freeze all early embryos which were divided into less than 4 and keep other early embryo under the cultivation liquid to become blastocysts.
When We told him our decision, he said it’s not bad decision.
He also explained what we didn’t know.
-The eggs which are less than 5 division, it is difficult to become blastocyst.
-The speed to become 6-8 division in 3 days is good
-The result he explained to us was the status in that morning. The division might change when they are to be freezed. Therefore, our request which to be freezed makes him easy to judge because he can choose eggs based on the most updated status.

I didn’t understand the freezing cost at this clinic.
The system of freezing cost is below.
First freezing cost; JPY50,000.
Second freezing cost; JPY50,000.
Third freezing cost; JPY30,000.
I thought the cost was per eggs. It turned out the cost doesn’t change depending on the number of eggs. When we freeze early embryos, it cost JPY 50, 000(First freezing cost). Then we freeze blastocyst, it cost JPY50,000(Second freezing cost).
