I will explain the assembly of the newly released C-LSD.
There are some very important factors, so please be sure to check until the end.
パッケージについて
About the package
まず、開封して頂くとLSD本体とドライブカップが現れます。
First, when you open it, the LSD body and drive cup will appear.
そして、その下には部品が納められています。
組み立てに必要なパーツと予備部品です。
And the parts are stored under it.
Parts and spare parts required for assembly.

※Oリングやドライブカップピン、調整シムは装着分のみ、その他パーツは予備部品となり、最低１セット分が用意されています。

* O-rings, drive cup pins, and adjustment shims are for mounting only, and other parts are spare parts, and at least one set is available.
尚、プロトタイプを使ったC-LSDの説明記事及びYouTube動画ではピニオン用ピンが2.0mmと1.95mmの2種類と説明致しましたが、プロトタイプの検証テストの結果、2.0mmは作動条件を満たしきれなかった為1.95mmピンのみとなりました。
In addition, in the explanation article of C-LSD using the prototype and the YouTube video, it was explained that there are two types of pinion pins, 2.0 mm and 1.95 mm, but as a result of the prototype verification test, 2.0 mm can not meet the operating conditions. Since there was no such thing, only the 1.95mm pin was used.
尚、基本的にC-LSDはオイル充填はせずに使うデフとして設計されていますので、ギア保護を目的としたオイル塗布のみで問題はありません。
Please use the side cover gasket when filling it with oil as one of the settings.
Basically, C-LSD is designed as a differential that is used without filling with oil, so there is no problem with just applying oil for the purpose of gear protection.
C-LSD使用前の必須作業
Required work before using C-LSD
メーカーが設計した作動状態を確実に発揮させる為にユーザーの皆さんには必ず実施して頂きたい事がありますので以下の内容をご確認ください。
Please check the following contents as there are some things that users must do to ensure that the operating condition designed by the manufacturer is exhibited.
まずはカバーを外します。
First, remove the cover.
4ピニオン仕様の場合は対角に2か所、８ピニオンの場合は４か所板バネが設置されています。
In the case of the 4-pinion specification, two leaf springs are installed diagonally, and in the case of the 8-pinion, four leaf springs are installed.
これらをピンセットで慎重に外してください。
乱暴に扱うとスプリングが跳ねます。
Carefully remove these with tweezers.
If handled roughly, the spring will bounce.
外径7〜8mmの円筒状の工具(5.5mmのボックス)を用意して頂き、
Please prepare a cylindrical tool (5.5 mm box) with an outer diameter of 7 to 8 mm.
指で1〜2回押し当てて、押し広げます。
それ以上の回数を重ねるとスプリングが開きすぎます。
(板バネのハードは硬いですが、そちらも1〜2ど押し広げてからお使い下さい。)
Press it with your finger once or twice to spread it out.
If you repeat it more than that, the spring will open too much.
(The hardness of the leaf spring is hard, but please use it after pushing it out 1-2 times.)
概ね70〜80度程度の開き具合になればOKです。
開きすぎた場合には指で畳めば元に戻ります。
(何回もやりすぎると折れるので注意して下さい。)
It is OK if the opening degree is about 70 to 80 degrees.
If you open it too much, you can fold it with your finger to restore it.
(Please note that it will break if you do it too many times.)
あとは元通りにカバーを閉めれば完成です。
After that, close the cover as before and you're done.
尚、この時に左右の軸がずれない様に均一に締め込むことを心掛けて下さい。
左右軸の調整が出来ていない場合、内部のギアの引っかかりを感じ、何度か均一な締め込みを実施するとスルスルでスムーズな作動になります。
At this time, please try to tighten it evenly so that the left and right axes do not shift.
If the left and right axes are not adjusted, you will feel the internal gear getting caught, and if you tighten it evenly several times, it will operate smoothly.
搭載手順
Mounting procedure
Oリングをカバーの溝の中に嵌め込みます。
Fit the O-ring into the groove on the cover.
防塵対策は必ず行ってください。また内部に塗布されたオイルの飛散も防ぎます。この作業を左右共に行います。
Be sure to take dustproof measures. It also prevents the oil applied inside from scattering. Do this for both left and right.
次にシム(大)を挿入します。
このシムはサイドカバーとドライブカップの擦れ予防の為です。
小さいシムは任意でお使い下さい。
Then insert a shim (large).
This shim is to prevent the side cover and drive cup from rubbing.
Please use a small shim as you like.
最後にドライブカップを差して、ピンで止めれば完了です。ドライブカップと本体の隙間がありますので気になる方は内径5mmのシムで調整して下さい。
Finally, insert the drive cup and pin it to finish. There is a gap between the drive cup and the main body, so if you are concerned, please adjust with a shim with an inner diameter of 5 mm.
