I went with my friend to ukulele last night. It has been three weeks now and we are getting a little better each week. Last night was a bit tough though, because we are still learning about the routine. We didn't realise that we had to collect our sheets of music when we arrived and we couldn't figure out, how every one knew what to play. We laughed at each other as we tried to pick up the chords and we both finished the song on different chords.
Once we had the music in front of us and were able to play along in tune, we had lots of fun. Some of the chords are difficult. That was ok, we just played the ones we knew. There are so many ukulele players, mistakes are easily hidden.
There are about 100 people playing ukuleles and everyone sings along which I love. I only sing a little bit because I am concentrating so hard on playing the chords. People are friendly and welcoming and glad that we have joined the group. I am looking forward to next week.
