イギリス北部モーカム出身、マンチェスターを活動の拠点とする４人組、ザ・ハートブレイクス。
ヴォーカル兼モデルも勤める甘いマスクのフロントマン、マシュー・ホワイトハウスの声質・歌い方・歌いまわしが、エルビス・コステロを彷彿させる。
哀愁感や切なさみたいなものがちょっと足りないいものの、1980年代のザ・スミスやオレンジ・ジュースなどのネオアコ風なギターロックがたまらない。
そんなまさにエルビス・コステロ風味のデビューシングルの「Liar, My Dear」でブレイクし、その後、セカンドシングルから約２年かけ、満を持してデビューアルバム「Funtimes」をリリース。
この曲は、そのアルバムからの４枚目のシングルカットで、思わず道端で口ずさみたくなるメロディーライン。
他にもアルバムにはイギリスのバンドらしい、ポップなメロディを合わせた甘酸っぱいサウンドで溢れている。
