現在でも世間的な評価は
高いとは言えず、
ファンの間でも賛否が分かれる
トレヴァー・ラビン主導のYES。
彼のソングライティング、
コンポーザー、プロデューサーの
手腕はもっと評価されていいと思うが、
やはり
「YES＝ジョン・アンダースン」
という図式が出来上がっている中で、
プログレではないYES、そして
プロデューサーも兼務した
トレヴァー・ラビンの色が
非常に色濃く反映されているのが
敬遠されてしまう一因かもしれない。
元々は、
トレヴァー・ラビン、クリス・スクワイア、
アラン・ホワイトの３人が
「シネマ」というバンドで活動しようと
思っていた所に、
トニー・ケイやジョン・アンダースンが
加わってプログレバンドの大御所イエスに
新しい時代（90125：YES）が誕生した。
この曲は、
No.1ソング「Owner Of A Lonely Heart」を
生み出したそんな「90125」と
同じメンバーによる２枚目のアルバム
「Big Generator」（1987年）に収録。
大御所プログレバンドの系譜を継承し、
ポップでドラマティックなメロディでありながら、
産業ロックと呼んでもいいくらいキャッチーな展開。
ジョン・アンダースン、クリス・スクワイア、
そしてトレヴァー・ラビンで
歌い継ぐコーラスも美しい。
ビルボード・シングルチャートでは、
30位と決して大ヒットではないが、
「Owner Of A Lonely Heart」に勝るとも
劣らない最高の１曲と言える。
再評価して欲しいなぁ。。。
