KANIYU, OKU-KINU ONSEN, TOCHIGI 奥鬼怒温泉・加仁湯

KANIYU is a traditional Japanese onsen (hot spring) inn in OKU-KINU ONSEN in Tochigi.

加仁湯（かにゆ） は栃木県の奥鬼怒温泉にある温泉旅館です。

It takes about four hours from Tokyo, but the half of the journey is in the pretty deep montain. About two hours from Nikko. From Meotobuchi to Kaniyu, no private cars are allowed and bus from the inn will pick you up.

東京から4時間ぐらいですが、半分ぐらいは結構深い山の中です。女夫渕（めおとぶち）からは一般車は入れないので、旅館のバスが迎えに来てくれます。

There are five different hot spring baths from separate spring in this inn, including three mixed baths. You can put a towel on when you enter a mixed bath, so don't worry. Most of the baths are open-air and not soap is allowed to use. (Actually you don't need soap at real onsen as hot spring water naturally remove your scurf skin or deadskin.) If you want to use soap there is a inside bath. I can't take photos of the baths unfortunately, but I definitely can recommend onsen here. The color of water is white with a little smell of sulfer. Fresh water is used and not recycled.

加仁湯には5つの源泉があり、そのうちの3つは混浴になっています。（タオルを巻いて入れるのでご心配なく。）ほとんどは露天風呂で、洗い場はありません。（本来温泉は汚れを落としてくれるし刺激があるので、せっけんは必要ありません。）もしせっけんを使う場合は内湯もあります。残念ながら写真がとれませんが、おすすめできる温泉です。湯の色は白く濁った湯で、少し硫黄のにおいがします。源泉かけ流しです。

There is another onsen called "HACCHO-NO-YU " which is only 10min. walk from KANIYU. You can enjoy natural landscape on the way.

加仁湯から10分ほど歩くと「八丁の湯（はっちょうのゆ） 」という別の温泉があります。途中自然の景色を楽しむことができます。

Water in the river is really clear, so you can enjoy eating fresh water fish such as sweetfish.

水がとてもきれいなので、鮎（あゆ）などの淡水魚もおいしいです。

HACCHO-NO-YU

The water here is clear and neutral, so gentle to the skin. There are open-air bath and inside bath, and mixed bath as well. (You can put a towel on so don't worry.)

八丁の湯

こちらの湯は透明で中性の湯なので、肌にやさしいです。露天風呂と内風呂があり、混浴の風呂もあります。（タオルを巻いて入れますのでご心配なく。）
