えっ、プリンターにもリジョンコードなんてあったの！？？
聞いてないよォ～ そんなこと。。。
ここで怯んでいたら、女が廃る
じゃなくて
新しいボスにダメ社員の烙印を押されてしまいそうなので奮闘してみました！
それにしても、どこのカスタマーサービスも忙しいんですね。
後で折り返しとか言っておきながら、その日は電話ありませんでした。
翌日も、同じことを言われたので、昨日すっぽかされた事を伝えて、名前をしっかりと聞き
「最優先で電話ください」と、かなりいやな女を装って？みました。
去年、海外の企業が私の勤める会社を買収して、先週から新しいアメリカ人の上司と一緒に仕事をしています。
A foreign company acquired our company last year, the new American boss
has been with us since last week.
英語圏の人と一緒に仕事をしたことがないのでチョット不安です。
I’ve never worked with people from English-speaking countries, so I was a little nervous.
その上、以前の上司は新しい上司の下のポジションにいるので、私はとてもヤヤコシイ立場にあるのです。
Moreover, I’m in an embarrassing position because my previous boss is in a position
under the new boss.
言ってみれば、彼らの間で板挟みになっているようなものです。
It’s like saying that I’m caught in the crossfire between them.
前の上司があまり友好的でないのに気がついて、新しい上司は私にＥメールで
直接仕事を回してきました。
Seeing that the previous boss was not too friendly, the new boss gave me directly
some jobs by e-mail.
そばに居るのにメールでやり取りするのはチョット変だとおもいましたが、彼がしたいことが
はっきり分かるので私には好都合です。
I felt it a little funny sending and receiving e-mails, in spite of sitting so close,
through, I appreciated that, because I could understand more clearly what he wanted me to do.

先週の水曜日、彼にＨＰプリンターのインクを買ってくるように頼まれて、ビックカメラで
買ったのですが、そのインクではプリンターは動きませんでした。
Last Wednesday I was asked to buy some printer inks for his HP printer, and I bought them
at Big Camera, but the printer didn’t work with the inks.
正しい物だったので、カスタマーサービスでどうして使えないのか聞いてみました。
They were correct, so I asked HP customer service why these inks were not usable.
ホンコンで買ったプリンターなので、リジョンコードを変更しなければならないとのことでした。
They said that the printer was bought in Hong Kong, so I had to change its region code.
変更するには、彼のノートパソコンでプリンターの設定を変えなければなりません。
To change it, we had to change printer settings using his Laptop.
カスタマーサービスには英語が話せる人がいなかったので、電話での担当技術者からの指示を
通訳しなければなりませんでした。
As there was no one who could speak English in customer service, I had to translate
the instructions of an engineer in charge on the telephone.
二人でリジョンコードを変更するのに30分程かかりました。
It took us about 30 minutes to change the region code.
ブラックベリーとプリンターのトラブルを克服して、私達はよい関係が出来たような気がします。
Overcoming some troubles on the Blackberry and the printer, I feel that we can make
a good relationship.
一緒に困難を乗り越えることは、よい関係を作るのに役立つと思いますね。
I think it is good for our relationship that we struggle against difficulties together.
