先月の「グーグルが無料動画共有サイトのYouTubeを買収」の発表には驚かされました。

１６億５千万ドル。。。円ではなくドルです！　もう私には想像を超える金額です。

それにしてもグーグルの力はすごいですね。

そのうち総ての情報はググってからということになるかもしれません。

YouTube is a popular free video sharing Web site which was founded in February 2005.
YouTubeは、２００５年２月に設立された、人気の無料動画サイトです。

I’m surprised to know that it has grown so quickly and received much attention.
こんなに短期間で急成長して関心を集めているのには驚かされます。

I’ve been using this site recently whenever I missed a TV program or wanted to see 
an old live video of my favorite musician.
私は最近、お気に入りのミュージシャンのテレビ番組を見逃したときや、古いライブビデオを見るときに利用しています。


I’m happy to copy the URL and paste it into my blog articles because I can listen 
the music while I’m reading the lyrics on my blog.
ブログの記事にURLをコピぺしておくと、　英語の歌詞を見ながら聞けるのがうれしいです。

By the way, on October 9, 2006, it was announced that the company would be purchased by 
Google for US$1.65 billion in stock, which would be Google’s biggest purchase so far.
ところで、１０月９日にYouTubeがGoogleに１６億５千万ドルで買収されるという発表がありましたが、今のところGoogleの一番大きな買い物らしいです。

Youtube has a lot of copyright issues now, but they may be able to clear them up with 
Google’s cash injection.
Youtubeは現在、多くの著作権問題を抱えていますが、Googleの現金注入で解決できるのかもしれませんね。
