本当に暖かかった昨日の午後, HOUSE OF SHISEIDO の展覧会に行って来ました。

Tord Boontje（トード・ボーンチェ）は、今注目のオランダ出身のインダストリアルデザイナーです。
資生堂がデザインのよりどころとする、唐草の文様と彼のデザインのコラボレーション展覧会が
開催されています。 2/7(Tue.) ～ 3/19(Sun.) 入場無料ですので、銀座にお出かけのときは、
チョト寄ってみてはいかがでしょう。
唐草の森が演出されたスペースには、草木や花の模様が切り抜かれたランプシェードが巻きつけられた
「Garland Light」や、「Midsummer Light」が飾られ、中央には草花をモチーフに細かく切り抜かれた
「Until Dawn Curtain」。
切り取られた紙の重なりは互いに不思議な影を作りだして、幻想的な世界が表現されていました。
Swarovski社の、まるで氷の様な輝きの「Ice Branch Chandelier」、Artecnica社の細かな
メタル細工「Thinking of you」などなど、名前もスッゴクおしゃれ～～☆
「HOUSE OF SHISEIDO」の展覧会は、去年の９月末に Serge Luterns展にも行きましたが
どちらも、詩的でロマンチック。。。
It was warm and I felt Spring in the air.
I visited Tord Boontje’s exhibition, “The forest of KARAKUSA” in Ginza(銀座).
It was held in“House of Shiseido” on Namikii St.(並木通り) where I had seen
an exhibition of Serge Luterns in September last year.
Tord Boontje is recognized worldwide as an emerging product designer.
This exhibition is a collaboration between Tord Boontje and Shiseido.
The arabesque pattern is an important theme similar to a rose design for Shiseido,
and has bound the Western and the Orient together from ancient times.
Boontje’s delicate, warm, and sophisticated design is characterized by an inspiration
from nature.
I enjoyed the romantic atmosphere by the “Midsummer light”The which was made by
paper shade.
There were white, green and red paper shades which were delicately colered.
These reminded me of a paper decoration of the Star Festival that I made in my
childhood.
When I watched these lights, I lost my way and wandered into a mysterious
midsummer forest.
