父は自分には子供が出来ないものと思っていたらしい。
けれど、12歳年下の母と再婚して私が生まれた。
はじめは信じられなかったのだそうだけれど、生まれた私は父そっくりで、

父は趣味と実益を兼ねて囲碁の先生をしていた。
ですから、父の夢は私を女流囲碁棋士にすること。
私が小学生の頃は、よく囲碁センターに連れて行かれたけれど、

父のご期待には応えられなかった私でも、とにかく可愛がってもらった。
授業参観は勿論、就職した会社にまで挨拶に来てくれた。
仕事から帰ると、その頃すでに退職していた父はビールの中ビンを開けて
「まあ、まあ、とりあえず一杯」と迎えてくれる。 父も私もお酒はあまり強くない。
でも、二人でビールを飲みながら相撲やナイターを見るのは、何よりの楽しみだった
に違いない。 傍で母もうれしそうだった。
父はおしゃれな人だった。 ジャケットのハンカチーフ、スカーフなど小物にも
センスを感じた。 そして、フットワークのいい人。
そんな父が亡くなった時は、大きな支えを失った感じ。
