As we know, we are having warm winter this time. Gives us a chance to enjoy Ume bloom quite early.
One of famous place along our living area to enjoy Ume bloom is Hanegi Park, located in Setagaya ward. quite popular among local residents as a place of rest and relaxation. On spring, this park become the venue of Ume Festival.
Lucky we had a chance to come and enjoy the festival, of course many visitors in. This park has 650 plum trees have been planted on the park grounds and there's a promenade allowing visitors to take their time while they enjoy looking at the blossoms. We was forgot to bring the picnic mat, but we can rent with 100 en for 2 person size picnic mat. Inside the park there are up to 60 varieties of plum trees, including the kobai, with their reddish-pink colored blossoms, and the hakubai, or white colored blossoms. Here some pictures to enjoy.
