We went for fancy dining after joining Christmas Caroling and Ebisu Christmas Market last two weeks.
Like a normal fancy dining, the restaurant quite calm, not so many lights as well as color. All the staff is polite. Well, that’s one of the reason they choose the business as fancy service business.
The food was very yumm. But, I was interested in how they write the menu.
The menu is without pictures. I know I know, most of fancy expensive restaurant wont put a single picture on the menu information. Just wondering why? To test the taste of the costumer?
If you go to fancy French restaurant (I know one of the best one in Otemachi, they have the most deli-yummy French cuisine) you will found no single picture on the menu and of course all the food name is in French.

Back to the restaurant we talked about, all menu information is written in Japanese. Im lucky enough I went there with lovely boyfriend. But how if not? I might just choose whatever food. Trial (hope not) and errors.

Back to picture of food menu, picture is words. A simple layout of menu with picture can be very helps the customer to imagine how will the food taste be. People can order without questioning and confusion.

But again, we need to accept the fancy concept.

Have a blessing Christmas and Happy New Year
