One of my favorite garment : CORSETS. They're just gorgeous things to wear in any circomstences, underwear or not. It's beautiful and delicate, yet strong and elegant, all colours are available and god it's hot...A nobody girl can become a Lady with the right garment on, and corsets never fail at it.
By the way, they inspired a new body modification called CORSETS PIERCING. Quite invasive, it is done just for shows, cause the delicate nature of a fair and beautiful skin cannot be harmed for too long. But the result of such frail times is quite adorable, in my opinion.
