第4回公演『Headline News』
歴史学者、IT企業社員、ゴーヤー研究者、フリーター、建築現場監督、村上春樹狂、ゲーム会社勤務…。全く異なるバックグラウンドを持つ文字通りの「他者」たち。彼らは今日も、目を覚まし、起き、仕事をし、食べ、排泄し、歩き、メールをし、電話をし、また食べ、時には音楽を聴き、時には本も読んで、テレビを見ることもあるし、映画に行くことだってある。東京という名の、日本という国の大都市で。
舞台の上を、５～７カ国語が飛び交う多言語パフォーマンス。ペルー、フランス、イギリス、ガーナ、ドイツ、アメリカ、日本。日本語をメインとしつつ、いろんな言語に敏感な劇団「空 (utsubo)」の本公演シリーズ、今回のテーマは「日常」。乞うご期待。

空(utsubo) vol.4『Headline News』
Today in Tokyo a group of individuals from entirely different backgrounds opens their eyes, rises from bed, goes to work, eats, shits, walks, sends emails, makes phone calls, eats more, sometimes listens to music, sometimes reads books, occasionally watches television, and may go to the movies. This thematic everydayness in Japan's metropole is depicted in
"Headline News" by a hodgepodge of Tokyoites: a historian, an IT company staff member, a goya melon researcher, a construction foreman, a Haruki Murakami lover, a slacker, and a game maker. The contributors to this Utsubo Theatre Troupe production come from nations including Peru, France, England, Ghana, Germany, USA and Japan. The performers dramatize quotidian existence while introducing a variety of linguistic sensibilities into Japanese, which will be peppered with several other languages.
