神さまは人々を喜ばれるという聖句に
わたしは愛する人の名前をあてはめた
それだけでなく共感しづらい人たちも
そこに名前をあてはめようとおもった

神さまはわたしたちを喜ばれるという
この真実を受け入れて深く考えるとき
ほかの人についてもこの真実を信じて
またそれに従って生きることができる

神さまはわたしたちを愛されるという
この知識のうちに成長したいとおもう
めぐり会うすべての人に対する喜びを
どうか経験することができますように

turned into “The Lord takes delight
in His daughter, Rocio.”
I began replacing my name
with the names of those
who surround me on a daily basis,
my husband, my family.
But then I also felt the tug to add
the names of those who I find difficult
to understand or relate to.

When we accept and reflect
on this truth—that the Lord loves us
and delights in us—
we can more easily believe this truth
about others and live accordingly.
I want to grow in the knowledge
of His love for me
and I pray you do too, sister.
May we experience His delight over us
—and over every person we meet.”
