はじまりは覚えていない
いつのまにか開いていた
神さまがわたしのために
綴られているものがたり

いそいで知ろうとしない
まだその章ではないから
すぐに分かろうとしない
あとのほうで気づくから

ものがたりが進むにつれ
おおいなる目的がみえる
ながいあいだ忘れていた
ひとつなる生命にであう

すこしずつ読んでいこう
たくさんの時間をかけて
最後のページをとじたら
神さまとおはなししよう

ひとは共有すべき物語をもつ
その刻一刻と展開する物語に
私たちは時に気づかずにいる
もし私たちが日々立ち止まり
私たち自身のうちに展開する
神さまの物語を見つめるなら
より明確に理解できるだろう
そしてそれは祈りから始まる
それは私たちの多くの物語の
一つ一つの始まりに違いない

Our stories are evolving
and unfolding each moment
and sometimes we aren't even aware.
If we can just pause each day
and take a moment to see the story
of the Lord unfolding in our midst,
we are able to come
to a clearer understanding of it all.
